CSA won’t tell me when payments stop

August 6, 2014

Hi ive been paying csa for fifteen years and my daughter is now eighteen.

She has left 6th form and starts university in September.

When do I stop making my payments as the csa wont tell me?

Child benefit will end 1st September so your payments will end for Csa to, when your child goes to uni your Csa obligations end also! On this day ring them or email and demand they do a child benefit check and get your case closed down

Ring child benefit this month dont leave till sept coz they write to pwc to ask to confirm shes left…..if she dont respond u keep paying they may have to write twice like we did call em today as it takes time

Whilst all the above replies are true, the real reason that the csa won’t tell you when your payments will stop is because of the fictional ‘arrears’ that they’ll be aiming to hit you with, they could go on for a long time, the csa probably haven’t pulled the figure out of the air yet, so there’s no way of telling how long they intend you to be paying.
