CSA will not listen that I am paying too much
I have never missed a payment on the CSA and every year my arrears keep going up. I disputed my arrears, which they said were £582, and won and the figure of arrears was £217 which I don’t mind paying and have paid £70 off it so far but my exwife owes me £135 for when my son lived with me. I have asked them to offset it and i would only owe £12 but so far they won’t do it and when I make a payment this month I will have had paid too much arrears.
I have been trying to sort this out since December, and have been phoning them up nearly everyday. They keep giving me any old excuse and I can never get through to the casewokers.

Go to your M.P. with all your documentation. Don’t speak to the CSA by phone. They are liars. Get everything in writing as evidence.
Make a mega complaint to the CSA executive regarding the staff, and ask your M.P. to forward your case to the Parliamentary Ombudsman regarding persistent maladministration….insis that your M.P. does this. if not write to the Ombudsman’s office yourself and complain about the CSA!

INDIPENDANTMOTHER… Youve obviously come onto the wrong forum. The vast majority of MEN and women who write ther stories/comments are more than happy to pay child maintenance and are in fact paying a very reasonable amount every month. However the shambolic CSA can virtually do what they like with there being a media blackout and in particular target compliant NRP’s who are PAYE. An example of this would be to make up ficticious arrears, back date it and when the figure hits the magic figure, I believe it to be £3,000, have the power to send baliffs to a person’s house and issue a liability order.
They could’nt care less about a NRP who now has a second family and are happy to see those kids live in poverty.
YOU REALLY HAVEN’T GOT A CLUE HAVE YOU. FIND YOURSELF A FORUM WHERE NRP’S ARE LAUGHING AT THE CSA BY HAVING THEM OVER AND UNDERPAYING OR NOT PAYING AT ALL AND DIRECT YOUR COMMENTS AT THEM !
