CSA will not contact father at new address unless he informs them
I have a 7 year old daughter whos father has not paid maintenance since I left him 5 years ago. I have contaced the Child Support Agency several times, the last time being when I informed them of his new address. They refused to accept this information and would therefore not contact him. Is this not the purpose of the CSA??!! To contact these useless men to provide for THEIR children!!
I personaly think the CSA is a load of rubbish who let these so called men get away with paying for their responsibilities!!

They may have other information regarding his address that they cannot discuss with you. PWC evidence isn’t the same as absolute confirmation that he lives at that address, they’re supposed to be careful where they send confidential info to. You may be able to see that he lives at that address but if all other evidence (remember they have access to other government systems) points to him still being at another address, they can’t do much. Ask them to contact the local council to confirm if the NRP is registered at that address, something like that I’m sure would be enough proof.

Did you get the name of who you spoke to?
Escalate your case to a clearly marked complaint, explaining the situation (including the member of staffs name) and giving your OH new address.

You need to make a complaint – in writing.
Your right they do support the men, I have called them many times and have had many problems with them holding the payments from me, my ex pays by deduction of earnings every week yet they claim they have not received payments and one time at the end of the call the lady said “thanks for calling the COCK TAIL SUPPORT AGENCY” can you believe…………………………
Actually if csa are taking his money via deo how is that supporting him?, surely its the agency fault for not passing the money over? I would look into it as they have a habit of mislaying money and keeping it in high interest accounts, how else do you think they made such huge profits last year?
Untrue. If money is sent to the Agency it is allocated to your case and paid out, IN FULL to the PWC. Many employers are awful to deal with and send in bulk payments for all their NRPs with no reference to say how to split the money and who to givs it to. They also don’t pay on time a lot. The CSA can send compliance inspectors to them abd fine them for missed paymebts, sending to proc fiscal if necessary but this takes even longer to get the money to you!
I came to this site expecting help abd advice from rational, intelligent people but a lot od you just make stuff up more than the CSA do! Very unhelpful all the people all over this site talking about CSA stealing money, putting it in interest accounts, paying theire staff massive bonuses etc. None of it is true, i know this cos I’ve spoken to people who worked there and DWP, mistakes are made but they don’t STEAL. Saying studf like that to people who are alreadt angry just riles them up even more instead of helping them by giving them sensible, useful, TRUE advice.
