CSA to spend £320 million on their computers
It was revealed this week by the Department for Work and Pensions that the Child Support Agency would be spending £320 million upgrading its defunct computer systems. Last week they reported that the upgrade would cost just £110 million, but it seems the true cost is almost THREE TIMES that figure.
Last month, The DWP said the cost of the Child Support Agencies’ Operational Improvement Plan (OIP) at £110 million. The true cost, the department admitted in answer to a followup Libdem question this week, was in fact budgeted at £320 million.
From the Inquirer.
This means that the CSA has cost £1.7 BILLION since it was set up. No wonder parents with care don’t get their money and non resident parents are being ripped off. The CSA have to claw back almost £2 BILLION.

Its an absolute disgrace that this is happening. Fathers who take an interest and shared care are being targeted to claw this money back. They do not give a damn that there are fathers out there that don’t give a damn about thier kids and never see them. These are the ones who should be targeted!
I’m fighting the CSA and because of their gross incompetence I face prison. They made a mess of my case by not collecting information properly. Forced me back onto benefits and are now stopping me setting up my own business because I will never allow them to put me under the stress they have before.
They make me phisically sick and I hope they rot in hell!!!!!
