CSA should be fair
The CSA is a joke, I appreciate that a parent should support his children, but at a fair rate. When my x wife divorced me for no good reason. I was told that custody would be given to the mother of my son, reluctantly I had to let my son go.I paid child maintainance from day one of him not living with me. CSA still got involved. After filling in all the paperwork telling them that I had my son every other weekend & one day in the week. nearly one year passed & a letter came from the CSA stating that I owed nearly £2000 in child maintainance. I phoned the CSA & complained saying that I had been regularly paying for my son. They had not taken anything I had told them into account.They reluctantly admitted that they had made a mistake,I was in fact paying more than I needed to, I heard no more from them.
At the age of four my x wife arrived at my home, with my son & several Black bags full of his cloths, telling me that I could have him (apparently because he had emptied a cupboard out). At the time I was in a reasonably paid job, but would not fit round looking after my son. Lucky my firm agreed to give me a job that would accommodate me looking after my son, but at only 1/2 the wage.
After getting all the benefits I was allowed I was able to get by, but struggled as I had depts. For about the next six months his mother paid me £20 a month for my sons maintainance, after that she has not paid a penny.
Because my concerns were with my son I did not contact the CSA (if all I would get was £20 a month),knowing how rubbish the CSA were. 10 years later my son & I had a disagreement & made the decision to go & live with his mother.once again the ugly head of the CSA came back demanding that I pay a unreasonable amount of money. they contacted my employer without my permission & did not take my 7 year old daughter into account.
They then tell me that they have to take my daughters child tax element as income.When I tell them that I wish to Make a counter claim for all the years that I looked after my son they tell me that I can’t. soooo unfair.
My new wife,me & my daughter live from day to day on one wage as my wife is unable to work.My x wife is living a large house,driving a new car,living a life of luxury.
She has a second son that lives with her second x husband that she pays no maintainance to and refuses to have contact with.the story does not end there as she got married a third time for less than a year but still managed to fleece him for alot of money. She now cohabit with a above the law business man whos answer to everything is to get a solicitor on to anyone that gets in his or her way.
The CSA NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN AND REPLACED WITH A FAIRER SYSTEM IS THE GOVERNMENT BLIND.

My partner has been battling with the Croque of Shit Association (CSA) for over 5 years now. They made him sell his house even thouh it is stated in the csa rules they cannot make you sell the home you live in and he has had to give his job up as they wanted more than he was earning. I think we should all send these complaints directly to the MP or minister directly responsible for this sham government body called the CSA … Hope your luck improves soon 🙂
Alan… Know exactly what your going through. This loathsome organisation have been given obscene powers and do exactly what they want. They know they can target the likes of you and me and thousands of other decent people because the previous and current government allow them to do it. Try and keep your head up mate.
They are an obscene joke who don’t even know their own legislation.
We have our MP involved, not sure what good it is but I agree with Elaine every person should write a letter of complaint and bring it to everyone’s attention how bad this agency is. It’s not just NRP who are getting a fair deal as some PWC are being asked to repay money they thought they were entitled to due to the stupid maintenance assessments the CSA put in place, that’s if they are lucky enough to get any money in the first place.
They are not fit for purposes in any way whatsoever and should be closed down immediately.
I agree with you about tax credits. What a farce that is! Me and my partner get tax credits for OUR kids based on OUR income but for some stupid reason some nutter in government sees fit to include that as income for maintenance purposes when the PWC is already in receipt of their own tax credits. I can never fathom that one out at all and find it grossly unfair. Whatever they say 2nd families are suffering big time because of this crap Agency.
I agree entirely with Elaine. Also the CSA are not fit for purpose, shambolic and incompetent beyond belief!
Can’t csa hell forward all these complaints to our goverment? and when are we going to have protests around parliment and petitions signed for them to review the csa legislation its unfair there’s more cons than pros what about putting the csa payments into a trust fund for when they are 18 so they can have a decent start! I mean the law say and provides by law what people can afford to live on and parents with care don’t have their benifit affected while getting payments
Csa hell I didn’t mean can’t u forward them in a bad way I ment could we use all these comments and then pass them to goverment etc
