CSA should be closed down or given proper training
I have never had such poor customer service and from a government funded agency.
I do not loose my temper but I am so angry at the conversation I have just had that I am shaking.
I have been dealing with them for my partner and not once have they returned my calls when they have said they will so I end up chasing them again and then guess what, they have the information they were supposed to ring me back with.
They are not willing to negotiate and they are trying to tell me that they will not accept a standing order… well how come I have read a lot about people paying by standing order, which is more practical for my partner as he is paid weekly… the CSA are a bunch of cowboys…
They really should be closed down or have a major staff training session.

They do think they are above any retribution, I have been trying to contact Durham House for 3 months with no-one willing to discuss the issues with me, their charter clearly states they are accesible and will explain any decision made, however Jan Stokes head of complaints at Durham House is allowed to ignore this.

Joanne:- Get the CSA bank details from the direct debit,insist on being sent a mandate by post and refuse to give bank details over the phone, then set up a standing order for the required amount.
Too many businesses and government departments want direct debits and we all know why.
Do not give in, once the money is being paid they will leave you alone.
They are only interested in getting the money.
the CSA preferred methods of payment are Direct Debit or Deduction of Earnings Order. Standing Order is not an accepted method of collection and if a Direct debit is refused the CSA will impose a DEO.
Only in exceptional circumstances will the CSA agree to any other Method of Collection other than DD or DEO.
Direct Debit or Deduction of Earnings Order might be the preferred method of an overbearing and bullying organisation like the CSA but the is no legal or moral force behind it.
Nobody is obliged to allow a third party access to their own funds as long as all obligations are met.
Better to pay by credit card each week than allow other people to deduct what they want either from you bank account or wages.
Set up a standing order for the required amount and retain control of your own outgoings.
I repeat the CSA are only interested in the money.

If you must down the DD route open a separate bank account, solely for the purpose of paying the CSA and only pay in the amount that is due to be taken.

Closed down would be good. Executives and staff arrested, charged and put in the dock, for fraud, would be better.
Treating decent, honest people like scum, and attempting to criminalise them with regard to their own children, is totally the wrong way to go about this issue.
I’m hoping that justice will prevail in the end, and there will be intervention by the judiciary, questioning the unlawful methods of extracting money from NRP’s.
Then we might see some ‘heads on blocks’, and justice for those who have suffered at the hands of the CSA over the years.
i think the goverment should get rid of all these people that doing this job and give them road sweeping jobs to do because they dont deserve to have this job because they all incompetent ..
Finally I got somewhere with the CSA nad it was the best conversation ever… When going through security they asked when my partner last paid and I said he hadn’t and he was not going to… they were just about to launch in to their crap when i added that I had done their job for them and mediated between my partner nad his ex and agreed a weekly standing order direct to her 🙂 much better solution.
