Hi,
Without more info regarding your case, I cant offer much advice – However, I do agree with what you have said.
Your welcome to join us in the forum at http://www.afairercsaforall.co.uk
Since creating our site in April 08, and despite increased membership, we have come to realise that just trying to fight this from one angle is proving futile. Human Rights issues relating to the agency are only a small piece of a much bigger picture – with this in mind, we have just released http://www.Britainsvoice.org.uk – join us and have your say!!
Ask the CSA to provide a schedule of the amount they assessed you should pay against payments collected. If you had a steady income on PAYE, your contibutions are easily calculated -15% for 1 child, 20% for 2- of TAKE HOME pay etc. You are wasting your time claiming you made payments in other forms.
Expect to put in a lot of effort and research time to successfully challege those
imbeciles.
If you are certain the arrears calcs are incorrect and contributions are no longer due, stop paying now as you are unlikely to get your overpayments returned.
If there is a chance the CSA figures are correct, they WILL collect, so you need to continue to pay off.
I’m due in court with the CSA in Dec, they are seeking a liability order re arrears, they already have an attachment order i don’t dispute liability and have also asked for other means of making payment ie payment book.
Even reading the letter they sent me with notification of the court date they don’t seem to have a case due to not providing an oppurtunity to pay.
Can anyone shed any light on why they insist on talikg me to court??
