CSA reviewed my payments and reduced money from my ex!
I had my daughter when i was 15yrs in 1994. I split with her dad not long after.
I was awarded £80per month, then that was an alright amount of money but 13yrs on im still getting the same amount. I rang the csa and they told me her dad had never been reviewed since 1999. I had NO idea i had to ask for one i just thought they would automaticaly do one, so they did a review and i got awarded £80 per week, but they could only take it back to september 2011.
He appealed and they dropped the payment to £64per week. He appealed again and now my payment has been dropped to £15per week, that’s less than i was originally getting.
The reason i’m mad about this is because he has his own shop which he employs 4 staff, he also has a sports car, work van, homing pigeons (which get more spent on them a month than my daughter gets) he has no other children he is single and still lives at home with his mother in a house that is bought and paid for – so where is the justice?
Can anyone help or give me some advice on where to go from here?

Is it possible your ex has any more children that he is paying CSA for?
Is your case is on old rules (opened before 03/03/03) ? Your ex will have certain expenses taken into consideration.
OR on present rules (cases opened on/after 03/03/03), where the calculation is a straight 15% of income for 1 child, less any shared care, etc?
If your case is on old rules, you could possibly close the case and re open it no earlier than 12 weeks later. Your case would then be calculated under the current system.
