CSA promissed first payment in August and it never came

I was told about a decision made back in august promising my first payment the following day ,that day never came so waited it out. i then recieved another letter noting payment days and plans starting in ocober which again never came til the november. decembers payment never came til january (which i know your going to say with christmas its busy over holidays) but proof in the pudding you toke it on the 10th /12/12!!!! didnt recieve it til 2013 .again i let it ride itself out giving you benefit of the doubt however again you toke the money monday 7th and is now friday 18th you say 7-10 working days ,you do the maths.

The dates i got from yourself, resemble nothing and still you have not beeen in contact via letter nor phone to update me .one meaningless letter that one made no sense and two obviously meant nothing anyway.

So wheres the new payment amounts and dates? Or confirmation that he didnt pay the following day or he did but you held it from me? now why did i have to tell you before you done anything when that is why your services were being used in the first place!! why am i having to chase my 5year olds support from his father and you

  1. this is not the official csa website so you need to contact them direct to get definitive answers to your questions.

the decision made in August was most likely the maintenance calculation – the amount your ex should be paying per week.
Once this has been calculated the CSA need to contact your ex and make arrangements about how he is going to pay his maintenance (and any arrears on the case)
if he has not responded to telephone calls or letters and set up a direct debit the agency would most likely impose a DEO (Deduction of Earnings Order) which is sent to his employer instructing them to deduct an amount from his wages and send this to the agency so that this can be paid you to you. The employer will deduct the money at the frequency that your ex is paid his wages – ie weekly, fortnightly or monthly – regardless of the frequency of his pay the employer has the option to send the money into the agency monthly. If they take the monthly option they have up to the 19th of the following month to send the deductions to the agency – ie any payments taken in October they should send this to the agency by 19 Nov … there will then be bank clearance times so payments received by the agency on or around the 19th of the month should be your account by approx 26th of each month, if the employer sends a cheque and it is received by the agency on 19th this may take longer to clear and as such the payment made to you will be later.

You should contact the agency on Monday and ask if the money is being collected via a DEO.
