CSA pay my money to wrong person
I have one daughter aged 9. Since she was 5 I have been attempting to get child support from my ex husband. Approximately 15 months ago they managed (after 3.5 years) to place a DEO on his salary (he gets paid in the region of 40,000 PA)for £389 per month. As you can imagine I was elated-this was short lived as since thyen they have only paid me on a couple of occasions, however, they have taken the money from my ex’s wages every month!!
I have spoken tom at least 15 different people regrding this and on one occasion was told that my money had been paid to someone else in error… when I asked would I get this money back I was told NO.
I asked to speak to a supervisor (which I have on many occasions) but was refused access to one. By my calculations the CSAhave now taken approximately £4000 from my ex – noone seems to know where this money has gone and they refuse to pay it to me. I am told each time I cntact them that someone will definately sort this out, however in 15 months (even though I repeatedly request it) I have not recieved anything in written form.
I have just got off the phone again and am now sitting crying… something that I am used to. What really annoys me is that I am not on benefits – I work full time, for a Government agency in fact – I dont claim any benefits but wonder if my case would have been organised better if I lived off the state.
All I want is what is due to my daughetr (I would like to save her money for when she , hopefully goes to university). I am thoroughly stressed out and am in the process of making an appointment with a solicitor (no doubt I will have to pay for this as I work full time) and my MP – I dont think this will help though and frankly am about to give up.

Hi Nicola,
May be better to stop phoning the agency and write (Post it signed for) OR email instead.
If you haven’t already, escalate your case to a clearly marked complaint and copy your MP in, ask for their assistance.
If funds that where due to you, have been paid by the agency in error to somebody else, then yes you are entitled to receive this money.

I had my money paid to someone else in error also! I got a special payment and the money eventually but never knew and of course wont know, if they got that money back from her, she is someone who just wants to have kids so she doesnt have to work whilst I pay twice for her, half my money went to her and my income tax to support her and all her dif. father kids!
