CSA overpaid my ex, now I have to pay for their mistakes
CSA are making me pay for them paying to much money to my ex partners…
They sent me a letter saying I have to pay £1220.14 of arrears, if I dont pay up there will take me to court. I rang up the CSA thinking there must of been a mistake, they tell me that £504 of that is when i got my job, and the rest is from someother thing. I only got my job 3 months ago and before then I was on JSA. So they should have been paid by JSA. They said if I dont start paying by the following tuesday they will take 40% of my wages.
I rang them on the monday and now there telling me that because they paid my ex partner to much money that i need to pay it back???? What should I do??

If your ex has been overpaid then its her that needs to pay it back, and given back to you….csa are not a loan company playing with nrps cash! Never speak to them on the phone, my advice start writing a letter of complaint, bullet point your concerns with proof of dates etc, make a copy and send it recorded and then make an appointment to see your mp with any paperwork you have to back up your complaint. Don’t back down and only converse in writing, tell them you will not deal with them over the phone! Good luck.
