CSA Mistakes

CSA mistakes have cost me dear for years

Hi to all, I would just like to see what your responses would be from both NRP and PWC.

My ex-partner left me back in 1998 after having an affair, we agreed to sell the family home and it was sold after two weeks, I signed the paperwork and so did the buyer, but my ex-partner refused and told me she wanted me to leave with the clothes on my back so she could have all the proceeds from the sale. Obviously I didn’t agree to this and the house was lost to a re-possesion due to her greed.

She moved in with her lover and I was forced to go back to my parents at the time aged 27, our two sons were 4 1/2 and 15 months. Three months later my youngest was savaged by their supposed family pet, this resulted in permanent scarring to his little face. I asked their mother what she was going to do about the dog? her answer was its got fuck all to do with me as we were not married, Six months later the dog savaged him again on the other side of his face.

Over the years, My sons were subjected to her husband exposing himself infront of them my playing with himself ( he has never touched the kids ) just showed himself while they were young. She ignored all of this because he was giving her a nice life with holidays etc… along with a £20,000 car for her birthday. They have a Villa in Cyprus and he asked my sons if they would go skinny dipping as nobody would see them? He got my sons to send a birthday card to his gay son with the picture on the front of a man with see-through underwear on it? My sons were approximately Seven and Ten years old around this time.

Only two and a half years ago she took an indecent picture of my eldest sons privates and proceeded to show both her husband and our youngest son. Bearing in mind she was a Special Constable in Nottingham at the time. The Police couldn’t see any problem with this in light of her husbands past and they let her continue her work with the force.

Back in 2009 my youngest refused to return to his mums when he told me he hated her and her weird partner, and he wanted to live with me! With his not returning on the Sunday Evening she lied to police and said I was suicidal and going to kill my son. This resulted in my not seeing my sons up until a couple of months ago. My eldest has been brainwashed beyond belief and no longer wants to see me, however his little brother who is now fourteen has more balls and has started seeing me again. I am currently going through a court case due to this.

Maybe now you asking yourself, this is a CSA sight?

I believe every CSA case should be dealt with Seperately, I myself have been paying the price for the CSA mal-administration for years. For those mums who have been shit on by the father, I am totally on your side, but at the same time those dads who have been dealt with like a piece of shit by the CSA because of mothers who caused the breakdown in the first place and know how to play the system. Only we understand…

I am on the side of which ever parent didn’t cause the child to lose their family surroundings. Maybe this is why society is so messed up, to many broken families.

My ex-partner has just bought a house for £700,000.00 they have three cars worth approximately over £100,000.00 and they own their own security business and have three to four holidays a year! I am not jealous, in fact goodluck to them!

What does knock me though is the fact that I have paid CSA since 1998 all but for two years, one of which I was self-employed in 2007 and both my accountant and Inland Revenue agreed I made no financial profit for that year. However the CSA put between £7,000 – £8,000 worth of arrears onto me for this.

This being the case, I have now been paying approximately £130 per week for the last two years and my arrears are still not going down. I understand that I would make approximately £58 per week regular payments anyway, but my MP has looked at my case and now the Independant Case Examiner and they agree I have been dealt with very severly.

Back in 2009 I received a letter from the CSA saying I owed £13,200 in arrears, two months later I received another letter saying it was now £15,800?

My problem is I have always wanted to pay for my sons, and have done so for 85% of the time, but paying someone who has put your children through so much is very hard to swallow, she doesn’t need the money and the money never goes on the boys. She has just used the boys as a money ticket and the CSA are just helping her cause. I now have a new son who was born on 1st March 2011, and how on earth can I give him the best possible start with the CSA ripping our lives apart.

Finally, I have been failed by the Police, Social Services and the courts, What a great country we live in…

  1. G’day fella,

On your first part that is truely awful and your ex’s new partner sounds like a reet tool, however the child support agency wouldnt not be able to do anything about this due to this not coming under the CSA’s role (ie maintenance for children and not the day to day welfare) there are other government services for this ie social services, it would not be effective or fair to give CSA case officers the power to control childrens well being.

On the point of your s/e status in 2007, if you made them aware of this fact they are legally liable to implement this change of circs, you should deffinatly question this, if you are told there is no record of the reporting, you should request a copy of your Data Protection file, and search for this yourself. If you can find it make them aware of this and this should be looked at. In order for you to get a £0.00 assessment you will need to prove your earnings for this time with a tax return showing no profit, if there is profit and it is only marginal you may be put on a £5 assessment?

I think you would benefit from raising a complaint and getting it looked at by a case officer with more experiance in dealing with case’s such as yours.
