CSA is the fault of our government

March 2, 2011

It seems to me that the heartfelt stories of most (sufferers), yes sufferers of the CSA are grossly asque and unfair when viewed sensibly. The CSA have been given licence by OUR government to reek havoc amongst decent law abiding citizens who’s only crime is to have failed to remain bonded in a marriage or relationship to an unsuitable partner. Yes children do need support, but is it right that an absent parent should be greatly penalised with crippling contributions when the other partner possibly earns a vastly superior income. Riches for one and desperate poverty for another is not a fair society. It should not be tolerated. David Cameron talks of the big society and fairness for all. Those precious words are esteem able, but lip service without actions will not quell the anger or fool the of people of this country. We expect and demand better governance.

If this party cannot come up with sensible solutions it should move aside.

In these times of austerity for all, the working classes need every penny to support a struggling family. We the people are not swayed by noble empty words or promises. You will be judged on performance and the ability to get the job done with compassion as well as efficiency. David Cameron and his coalition party take note!

Very noble and well worded sentiments.

The ‘alleged’ money uncollected in maintenance has risen this year from £3.5 billion to £3.75 billion. A great success story, from an expensive failing shambles!

The CSA is an abject lesson in how to make enemies of the state, and criminalising decent, honest people will come back to haunt our politicians.

I bet that there is not ONE politician who has involvement with the CSA as a non resident parent!

House Of Commons debate 23rd March 1998 : Various issues concerning “The National Strategy For England.” : Matters arising : Concerning retirement pensioners,Violence Against Women , Child Support Agency.

Proposal from Secretary Of State for Social Security & Women (Ms Harriett Harmon). To Mr.McNulty & Mr.Baker for a more fairer CS regime/system quoted in her proposal.
“We are dealing with difficult issues. We need to keep a sense of principal…That parents should be prepared to …But also the system should be fair. The problem is that the principal of parental payment has been undermined by very poor and failed administration.”
    Also
“It is not always a matter of abandoned family. It is difficult to talk in absolutes about first or second families. The fact is that many marriages end in divorce, with faults on one or the other side , or neither. Many children start life without their parents living together. We must strip away the ease of moral judgement and get a system that is fair to the taxpayer, the parent and above all the child.”

Hahaha!! This could not be anymore further from the truth. Her proposal was supposed to be a critisism & reform of the previous system/regime (pre 1997-98).Doesn’t this just make a mockery of what we have all suffered over the past 16 years. What she proposed/promised to deliver in the House Of Commons compared to what she actually delivered were two totally different things.

Upon reading Harriett Harmon’s proposals to the House Of Commons it seems to me that her new reformed system/regime has not reformed into a better fairer system/regime ,if anything it has evolved into a seemingly out of control undestructable and unstoppable Frankensteins Monster!! (It’s an abomination to men, women and children respectively).

We’ve all put up with and suffered this regime for long enough now it’s high time now the the government (David Cameron and Nick Clegg acknowledges and takes responsibility and take measures to abolish this regime or is the real reason why they don’t want to stop it because it has become a multi billion pound industry which the economy has come to rely upon. This country generates billions of pounds every year but yet the government has been crying poverty and forcing local government employers to cut jobs and causing unacceptable levels of unemployment and to add insult to injury rob us blind into the bargain. There is always talk of companies making billions of pounds in profits fat cat bonuses and the rest of it! Enery companies have been robbing us blind for years and been allowed to et away with it for years. Is this what this country all about now???
