CSA is costing me my new life

I left my Wife 11 years after 9 years of marriage due to Lots of reasons i wont go into but lets just say that after staying with her for nine years because of the girls i had had enough of the hellish life she led me.

Straight away i offered her £250 a month by way of maintenance which she accepted but soon after she decided it wasnt enough!!! Within a month i had a visit from the CSA at home were i was told i HAD to pay £768 per month as i was governed by the 40% rule (which meant they could take 40% of my wage.

As you can imagine i could not afford this much and still live, therefore i had no choice but to leave that employer.

It is now 11 years on and although my Daughters have grown up and passed the age for me to pay anything imagine my surprise last week when i found i was £516 light in my wage because the CSA reckon i owe them £7000 in back payements!!!!.

Its not even like i shurked maintenance payements because i have receipts to the sum of £1000 from payements i made when i had worked,and to add, i had my daughters living with me for 2 YEARS.

Now even though i had these points to argue the CSA told me when i rang that it meant nothing as i was governed by the old rules and i hadnt notified them of EVERY change in my life!!!

My story is ongoing and they intend to take £540 per month for the next 11 months which as you can imagine put me in jeperdy of losing the life i have now built back up.
