CSA is a disorganised badly run government department
I gained custody of my daughter in march this year, the mother naturally declined the offer to pay a nominal sum in maintenance,so as she had used the CSA to beat me to death in the past, even though I was paying her a handsome sum weekly,I decided that what had been good for the goose was now good for the gander, how wrong could I be? it has been almost 6 months now and I still haven’t been able to open a case against my ex due to a technical error, which it seems the CSA super system and their over paid experts can’t correct. meanwhile mummy is swanning off on holiday and enjoying herself scot free of responsibility, whilst demanding visitation through a solicitor that my daughter isn’t interested in.
The CSA cant back date my claim because they haven’t been in touch with her, we don’t want to go clerical because that’s too much like hard work. I am promised call backs that never materialise, I call weekly/fortnightly to speak to a different person every time, who invariably goes through the same process the last expert went through only to come up with the same rubbish as last time that there is a technical error and we cant close the last case because we owe you money, I accused them of sexism due to the fact that I got nailed to a cross immediately, the payments were backdated to the day she contacted them and I got stung with a £900 bill because she lied and told them I’d payed nothing, the magic roundabout goes around and around!
My conclusion is they are truly the most disorganised badly run government department when it comes to a father claiming against the mother.

They are a badly run organisation.
Get your MP involved and hopefully things may go a bit smoother for you. Once an MP is involved you will have one point of contact within the Agency.
robert,
I completely agree the CSA are disorganised and badly run. It is totally unacceptable.
I also agree with the advice from Carol.
Escalate your case to a clearly marked complaint. Give a concise version of events and copy in you local MP requesting their assistance.
Keep copies of all correspondence you send and post signed for.

In my case the csa actually wrote to my MP stating, in writing, that they had pursued the matter the way they had because they didn’t have my contact details. When I finanlly got my Data Protection Prints it showed the csa had my mobile phone number, address and email, also they had called, written and emailed! The matter is ongoing but your MP cant actually do anything about the csa apart from advocate on your behalf.
