Dear Mrs Spears
Thank you visiting me at my home on Thursday 26th April 2012 in the presence of my solicitor. It was such a refreshing change to be able to sit down and talk face to face with a CSA representative, (the first time since dealing with your organisation), instead of constantly listening to a threatening angry voice on the other end of the telephone.
During our discussions, it became increasingly clear to myself and my solicitor that the CSA have somehow managed to make a monumental and incomprehensible clerical error of my case. The CSA have clearly demonstrated total lack of control, lack of awareness and a high degree of incompetence so much so that I can’t understand how the CSA is still in existence and the fact that the taxpayer is funding such a disorganised organisation makes me sick to my stomach. As I stated at the end of our meeting, I have cancelled my Standing order with the CSA as the organisation has no comprehension how much I have paid in and no record of any monies being paid to my ex-partner, Miss Nicola Harris. I will not be paying any money to the CSA again and have increased my monthly payment to Miss Harris from £275 to £300 as result of cancelling the CSA monthly payment of £24.
As the CSA have lost all records of my previous case with my ex-wife, Mrs G McPhail which was closed down in 2008, you have requested me to prove that I have paid the £40,976.82 to the CSA between 29/02/1996 and 01/08/2007. I have, at some considerable time and effort by myself managed to retrieve the information required as detailed in the table below;
From To No of Payments Payment Frequency Amount Paid Total paid for this Period
03/05/96 1 £200 £200
01/06/96 01/10/97 17 monthly £250 £4,250
01/11/97 01/03/05 89 monthly £325 £28,925
01/04/05 01/09/08 42 monthly £275 £11,550
Total £44,925
As can be seen from the above table, I have actually paid the CSA £44,925 between the dates 03/05/96 to 01/09/08, which equates to an overpayment of £3,932.36, a sum which I am requiring the CSA to repay back to myself. So in the format of the standard CSA letters to myself over the last 16 years;
“YOU MUST REPAY THE OVERPAYMENT BACK TO MYSELF NOW OR FACE LEGAL ACTION”
I have attached a sample of the evidence I have painstakingly retrieved which consists of Giro slip receipts, cheque book stubs, bank statements and all correspondence from the CSA over the period in mention.
Please make an appointment with me, if you wish to review the evidence in its entirety and don’t hesitate to contact me by telephone on 0**** ****** if you require any further clarification.
I will contact you direct in about 2 weeks time, if I have not received any word from yourself to ensure you have received this correspondence.
Yours sincerely
D M Williams

The shocking thing here as you may have gathered from this site, is that this is not an isolated case.
I totally agree with your comments and believe that every taxpayer in the UK should know the faults of this Agency, the amount they pay out annually in compensation due to maladministration, the amount the Government pay a contract to Vertex Data Science to operate CSA Bolton (which by the way was £91.3m for a 3 year contract I believe). If everyone knew this Agency is failing pwc, nrp and most importantly children on both sides then it would be closed down. It is unfortunate that there appears to be a media gag on bad press for the Agency.
Good luck with your fight
PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE go to the media with this story.
Hopefully others will come out of the woodwork.
The only way things will change at the CSA is for more stories like this being exposed.
Maybe, maybe then ours MPs might,just might do something.
Totally agree with above comments. Due to the bad publicity the government have done away with the pasty and charity tax, so as KMcQ80 says, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to the media with this story.
Can you imagine how many thousands of NRPs are in the same situation but do no have the capability to provide the information you have been forced to due to circumstances. Is it any wonder that NRPs have committed suicide over the years??
Like the previous two comments, please go to the media… I cannot say how much I admire your determination to put things right but unless more people come forward, the CSA will continue to play god with our lives :'(
please do go to the press, i will as soon [if] i get resolve from these idiots , my case is, wrong child , sent bank & NI number to wrong address, telling me im not part of my daughters family, not contacting me at my address , it goes on .
my MP is involved but they will not even give him answers to giving all my personal data, i am now dealing with the 8th office since sept 2010.
