CSA has fabricated arrears
I went self-employed back in 2001 and stupidly (when reassessed) gave them my turnover figures!!
I was assessed on this, when I noticed my mistake they refused to adjust.
But after resubmitting my income properly I was assessed at a more reasonable level but the bit in-between where they assessed me on my turnover was turned into arrears. Which I have been paying on top of my normal csa payments (I have never missed a CSA payment) for the last 6 years.
But now they have sent me a letter demanding more money for the arrears, which in the currant climate I cannot afford.
What powers do they have to get more money from me, they are saying they will do a deduction of earnings, can they do this if I am self-employed?

As usual the CSA are targeting the ones who do pay, to get more and more money from them!
CMEC can look into your bank accounts and take money from them. They can seize assets, without your knowledge or permission. So, beware!
£3.8 billion remains uncollected, from people who have not paid and will never pay maintenance. Therefore, the ones who do pay are being criminalised and discriminated against! Also, we all have a right to a private family life. Why, is the government interfering in matters between children and parents?
How can it be that some pay, and some don’t pay. Why is that being allowed to happen?
If anybody involved with this ‘not fit for purpose’, ‘shambles’, has got the money to employ top barristers to go through the Supreme courts and European courts, on the basis that I have outlined………..all the CSA victims urge you to do it!
I believe that there is a case for the government to answer. I believe that the legislation and system is flawed, as billions remains uncollected!
The system is unfair, the legislation is flawed and those who pay are being discriminated against!
Completely agree, it’s standard extortion tactics. If you pay someone who blackmails you, they’ll come back for more money whenever they want because they know you’re someone who pays up. It’s the same as a protection racket, you extort as much as you can from the ones who pay to offset the cost of the ones who don’t.
I wonder if the CSA is actually run by the Mafia?
No, scratch that, the Mafia wouldn’t lose people’s addresses and make so many mistakes. They’d know EXACTLY who they were speaking to and where they lived. Maybe the CSA should be run by the Mafia? Same ethics, just more organised.
If my son won £40 million on the lottery this friday (it can’t be me for csa reasons)!
I would take on, and spend all of his £40 million on destroying the scum who are stitching decent honest people up with debt, in a matter which has nothing to do with them! i.e private family lives!
I would bring the CSA to its’ knees and keep going for individual prosecutions against the corrupt officials who think that they are untouchable.
Then we will see how they like to be criminalised!
