CSA demands more money than we make
My husband has a daughter who is 13 he is a great father and has her every weekend unless she goes with her friends on a saturday then she will come sunday instead or if he is working, he pays her mother £50 a week and has always done so. We got a letter at the weekend saying that he would have to start paying £450 a week he works on the oil riggs but its on an adhoc basis so he can be out of work for weeks on end and when thats the case we have to live on my wages – we still pay her. There is no way we can afford £450 per week we would have to live on 9p noodles, in fact my husband would have to give up work altogether as we would never see each other or his daughter.
We do not know where to turn, they don’t seme to care that she is already getting money and has every weekend free to do as she likes she also has a job has family allowance working tax credit and a partner living with her who makes a lot of money, not to mention the £120,000 from the house that she has spent.
She has made my husbands life a living nightmare not only did she do him a suprise wedding in a registry office when they wed but she also got fertility treatment behind his back and an up debts fraudently in his name, she has decided she wants to marry again but they are not planning to marry until the daughter is 16 she is then planning on moving away and the daughter come to us which we will love however we can see why she is waiting until she is 16.
I am going off the point here a little I know, the main point is they want £450 a week and we can’t afford it I mean who could? unless they were earning an absoloute mint, its looking as though my husband will eithe rhave to give up work or go to prison as he cant afford to fund his exes lavish lifestyle, its a massive strain on our marriage and Its making me ill.
We cannot see a way out of this at all. We have contacted the csa and explained that she is already being paid £50.00 per week and we have the little girl most weekends and also that my husband only works when there is work and not every single week, were waiting for them to calculate his annual salary now and then get back to us but I have little faith in them they don’t seem to care about the father or the truth. I hope one day the worm will turn on her for what she has done.

Hi,we had a similar problem with the pig ignorant arrogant bastards excuse my french I know how you feel we went to our MP who after alot of hard work by his side kick has got ours down from£800 a month to £300 we were at our whits end and enormous strain on our marriage it does get a bit better there’s allways the spectre of them there remember what goes around comes around
Am sorry to read your story don’t accept the amount the scum say. Get in contact with your mp. Also remind the vermin csa that there are plans for parents to make private arrangements. Always write ti vermin csa. Request percentages of calculations. Make formal complaint to csa. I’m making progress our experience almost mirrors yours. Keep fighting don’t let the vermin get away with it. Go to the media. The guardian and mail really interested. I write to vermin all the time. Do your homework. In time you will find the scum will make major mistakes. They’ve done that with me they’ve really shot themselves in the foot. Take litigation against the scum!

Sad to read your story but I can understand what you are going through. No MP was able to help my ex partner and only last week his house was taken away form him. They are animals to say the least and only there to wreck lives.
His ex wife is a nightmare. He left her over 11 years ago now, always paide maintenance but she wanted more. She had the cheek to ask for my details and my assets.
I know its easy to say fight them because we ended up having no fight left in us. They destroyed a lovely relationship we had as he was the most wonderful man I ever met. He was treated like a criminal. The English system gives the CSA the powers to do what they want and my God they did everything to my ex partner.
Try to stay strong adn like Mark and Mick told you fight them tooth and nail. Unfortunately the Case Worker on my ex partners case was adamant she was going to take every asset he had and a year ago she told him that and she did. His Solicitor was horrifed of the tricks they play.
