CSA cash not being released
Not only did it take 5 months for CSA money to kick it when I first applied which I thought was the “norm” for new claimants, but I now, a year or more in, have been told I have to wait around 4 months for the next payment as the absent parent has “completed a Certificate of Earnings form”.
He has been making payments, yet they will not release the payments.
These are hard times, I was made redundant, then temping. Just when I need this money more than anything – this is when they seem to decide to hold on to it, while I struggle to pay bills…
This is not good enough, and CSA’s Adviser with their blase’ remarks such as “you shouldn’t rely on these payments” as polite and tolerant as I have been when making just 2 calls, to chase these payments up – certainly does not help…
I am disappointed and upset at this malpractice.

Is it possible to come to your own private arrangement with your ex, and cut out this dreaded middle man? They mess up on so many cases and leave pwc and nrp, and any second families in hardship. In the meantime if they are holding onto monies then get your mp involved. Good luck
I agree with Joanne, the best way is to deal directly with each other and cut the agency out of the equation but it has to something you both agree to. In my case, my ex, out of sheer bloody mindedness, refuses to deal with me directly and as a consequence I’m having a similar nightmare as you’re having in that I’ve not received a penny for over a year although unlike your ex partner mine hasn’t been paying at all.
