CSA calculations and private arrangements

I currently pay for two children to two different Mothers. One is a private agreement and the other was pursued via the CSA without a discussion with my ex-partner. I informed the CSA of the private agreement and they reqested a letter from the other Mother, I declined that but can provide proof of the payments from my bank account to hers and they said this was insufficient.

Is this the case? Or am I in a position where I must tell an ex-partner my business to reduce my DEO?

Thanks in advance

  1. It has not a thing to do with her. Tell the CSA you do not want her to know you have another child. If that is what you are wanting to hide. They think they have lots of power. They have fxxk all….And becareful if other one goes to the CSA and says you have not paid they can make you pay to her again. They take the PWC side.

  2. true dolphin…they have no right 2 tell one about the other without your permission. Put it in writin 2, send recorded delivery so if they do u got them by the balls.

  3. they only sign 4 the sack… not the letter, however! when letter has been sent, ring to let them know you'v sent it, and you will continue to ring to get them to confirm they have recieved the letter and that you also request a letter in response to confirm they have recieved that letter… then you'v got them by the balls!!!!!

  4. A friend of mine is in similar situation. I would suggest you ask both pwc to agree to private arrangement. Otherwise csa dont take into account your private payment & will assess you only on information they have.

  5. Or if one of the PWC's wont agree on a private agreement, it may be in your benefit to ask the CSA to sort maintenance for both PWC's. This is what I had to do as like Su said unless the CSA sort everything they will not recognise that you have another child that you are responsible for and so work calculations on you having just 1 child. They wanted £33 for 1 child and £38 for 3?? The calculators on theres and other web sites can be handy to try different scenario's.

  6. Vicki, I was informed on this forum when I had made a similar comment regarding recorded post…. so it was only best that I provided the relevant details so that you were as informed as I was when I was told about it…. I then had 2 assess the new directives which I presented, always get them to confirm reciept and get it done by phone and in writing, when in black and white with their headed letters, there is sufficient written evidence to confirm you provided the information, their confirmation of reciept in writing will disprove any of their comments if they attempt to decieve the courts or yourself of non reciept of information!!!!
