CSA arrears are too high for me

December 24, 2010

I recently contacted the csa about the amount of child support they were asking for my two girls which was £80.00 a week plus arrears to be added on top.

After a long drawn out process i got it down to £33.00 a week,£132.00 a month which i find managable considering i only bring home £850.00 a month. But they are taking £250.00 off me and leaving me with £600.00 to live on.

I really can’t afford this and have asked them to review this but they dont want to know. As a result of this i’m unable to make ends meet as have since been on medication for depression and has driven me to a suicide attempt but yet the csa didnt seem to care when i explained this.

I am sorry to hear this. The scumbags agency don't give a fuck about anybody, just bringing in revenue and making honest, decent working peoples lives a misery. As they say in starship troopers " KILL EM ALL "

Are you self employed? If you are, they can't do a deduction of earnings but if you're employed, there's not much you can do. They can't take more than 40% of your earnings and if you can't afford it, they'll suggest you move into a bedsit. Can you not come to a private arrangement with your ex?

CSA has been abolished on the 28th feb 11. Comes under the WORKS AND PENSIONS who has not got the same powers as the csa so get it re checked in march!

go straight to your local MP they can write on your behalf and you will find the CSA will be more cooperative and listen to your situation and make the payments more managable. good luck

CSA is closeing down. And it is about time…They should and have to start looking at the new real family. Not the ex that can't move on in life. And use children to feather thier banks.
