CSA are quick to take your money but slow to stop arrangements!

Let me first make it clear. I have always looked after and paid for my children ever since they were 6 and 4. My eldest finished full time education in June 2015. I notified the CSA in July that he would be going to University and so they would need to adjust what I pay ( stopped at source). My intention was to pay him directly what I was giving the CSA to help him out at Uni.

I have now lost count of the number of calls I have made to them requesting the payment stops. I have most recently checked Decembers pay and yes, it remains the same. I am at a total loss as to what I can do as it is stopped at source. I have now paid 4  months over what I should have despite notifying them. Please can anyone advise me as I just don’t know what to do anymore.

  1. Im in a similiar situation. My arrangement stopped on 8th June and guess what, they continued to take payment until my October salary. I have overpaid by 5 months @ £195 pcm so I am currently owed in the region of £1000 for overpayments. Guess what they have been processing my refund since 18th October. Absolutely useless. I have raised a formal complaint on 1st Nov and still havent heard back other than to be told that the case has been pass to their Reimbursement Team on the 18th Sept. Incompetent idiots.

  2. I know the feeling about trying to get the CSA to stop payment I had to get my local MP to intervene and he got the date sorted-Trouble was though they then said” I was in arrears of £1200 then £750 then £820″ SO I appealed as they take the money from my salary!!!! guess what they put my weekly payments up gotta appeal again….They are such a bunch of governmental agency wankers!!!!
