CSA Advice for Fathers?

February 14, 2010

I have 2 sons that i financially maintain through the csa usually through a direct debit. I have recently closed the account that this payment is normally collected from and set up another account with a different bank. The Nationwide Building Society have personally contacted the csa to set up this new arrangement, but it has been completely ignored. I recently spoke to 3 different people over the phone at the csa to try and resolve this matter. I was told that i would have to set up a direct debit arrangement and they would send me the forms.

Yet again this hasnt happened. Also my eldest son is now 17 and i have been told that he is at college so i must keep paying for him. Because i dont see any of my sons i have for proof of this but they are refusing to give me any.

    Hi Mr.A.Ridings,

How long has this been going on for?

Has a DD mandate just been requested over the phone OR have you also made written requests?

My ex wife has just recently contacted the csa, When we parted a year ago i left her with everything in the house and she stayed there until august this year when she moved out. i had the children over night on Friday and sat, now she has stopped that and now she has just given me contact for Saturday only. when i moved out i took all the debts with me for me to pay as there in my name, but now the csa want to me to pay £96 a week. if i pay this with all my out goings i will leave me with nothing at all a month how can they expect me to pay it. also another thing all the maintenance she gets of me she doesn’t get it taken off her benefits. so il go hungry while shes on the tiles this just inst right, and i have no problem paying for my children but i just cant

Hi, have paid CSA to my 3 daughters for the past 14 years. My middle daughter left full time education last Oct 2011 and as now gone into full time employment. I am having an hell of a time with the CSA because my ex wife is still claiming child benefit and the CSA believe my daughter is still in education. I have made several phone calls and reported this to the authorities. Have they sorted this ……NEGATIVE I am still paying and do not know what to do next . If anyone as had similar experience please email me with any help, numbers,or website. I have today phoned the college for proof that my daughter left so I can pass this onto the child benefit to be honest …. it would be easier nailing a jelly to my ceiling .:O)

im a family man with 5 kids and two with past relaionships and im getting to the end of my tether with the csa they dont contact me for 12 months and then a letter arrives on the mat asking for more and more money im sick of it all, i can only just surport my present family and im getting so much in debt and i cannot do anything about it, the csa never take your depandents into account at all they say they take off 25 percent for them all and that they cant go under a certain amount but i cannot survie on this at all with the other debts and bills i have to pay they also say that they dont want to spit up your family but in alot of cases they do there must be a way that they can see reason but ive not found it YET. im sick of it

Got something to say?
