Children live with me but CSA want my money

June 5, 2010

When I split from my expartner in 2001 i saw my 2 sons as often as she would let me and always gave money for their keep until I found out she was spending it on drink and drugs. I then started to take food and clothes instead. I made arrangements to see a solicitor and went to court for Parental Responsibility and got it.

I was contacted by the CSA and had a detachment of earnings which was never missed except when I was on the sick. I started a court case to get full custody of my children who had started to live with me as my ex couldn’t cope with them because of her lifestyle. I won my case and got a letter from the CSA saying that they no longer held jurisdiction over the case and that was it or so I thought, when I had had my sons with me for approximately 5 years I had the nerve to ask if there was a possiblity that I could get some money from their mother and the next thing I get a letter saying I owen almost £2000 in arrears!

I have been to court now 4 times and they have been allowed a liablility order despite the fact that I haven written proof of the date when my children moved in with me and also that I had paid the CSA from my wage.

I have now had my sons with me for 7 years and yet they still want to take money from me.

I live for my sons and have never refused to pay towards thier keep nor would I ever, how can these paople get away with treating people this way????
