Case worker is never there

November 7, 2010

My story starts last year l received a letter from the CSA telling me l owned them 754.22 pounds It seems that l was paying less than l should have been paying . So l rang up Belfast & l was able to speak to my case worker .He said to me to borrow the money l refused to do this .This debt should not have been allowed to get high.

I tryed to suggest a amount of money that would have been fair I received a standing order mandate that said that l had to pay for a total of a year 221 pounds a month I paid this and then when l paid of the last month l then put the amount down the normal amount of fifty pound I then received another standing order in which l had to pay another 221 pounds the next month l had to pay 119 pounds and the next month l would be able to the pay normal amount Well you can imagine the shock & horror when l received another brown envelope boombshell saying that l owed then 340 pounds. By The way they said that they have already sent me a letter advising of this .

No they havn’t.

I have tryed to ring them but my caseworker wasnt there This time l am going to meet up with a local agent to discuss this because l have worked it out and they owe me money

Ask them for the "auditable accounts", they dont keep correct book-keeping records. I have six letters all with random figures on them…. they lie to us all!

    they theive of us all!!!!

    B@st@rds!

Is there any chance you could call your ex and find out if she got the amounts of money you kept paying so far? I have heard of stories about the CSA stealing the money, like they deduct the money from the NRP then they dont forward the money to the PWC….

  • Allan Morrell says:

CSA are often intent to cause problems between NRP and PWC and cause communications between the 2 to break down..They'v done it with me so that we both had to ring back to CSA kicking off!!!!! I told one immediately to ring my ex after such dispute to get the confirmation of shared care….. immediately… incompetent TW@TS

Any time I call them to ask why we didnt get child support they keep coming up with a different excuse. Once they said their accounts department is running behind…. A few days later another CSA worker said probably the employer is holding on to the money after they deducted from my ex. Another a few days later they said they were waiting for my ex to post in his latest payslip as he reported a change in his circumstances. I wonder what the truth is….. The more times I call these people more (different) answers they come up with. How funny….

they always come out with lies they fobbed my partner off 3 times when his wages lowered 1 minute they were dealing with julys cases then a week later junes cases he got fed up so didnt pay in november and said we were struggling and hey presto 2 days later they sorted it out took them 13 weeks mind you,but what i do know is my ex pays via deductions from earnings and the employer sends it in every week but guess what csa hold onto it and pay me when they see fit they tell me yes £50 has gone out but the other £50 will be sent the following week and thats how they gain their money by sitting on the interest makes you sick, since i am on both sides of the fence my thoughts are why take maintenance from the ones struggling i thought thats what child benefit was for so those who get maintenance should forfit child benefit or pay the statutary amount that the government state for child benefit this money isnt for the kids its for the pwc i say this as my patrners ex doesnt clothe his daughter rarely does she bath and lives on sweets makes you sick having to pay for her high life when my children are well looked after even tho we struggle !!

I had a funny feeling they hold on to the money just to gain interest. @ssholes! They were trying to tell me some crap about employers having the legal right to hold on to the child support they deduct from the NRP's wages month month until the 19th of next month. Just after that they have to forward the money to CSA. But who knows, maybe this was a lie too?

I called CSA today and the woman was tryna get rid of me by telling me there was no info on the screen about my case so she took my N.I. number etc (what I already typed in when calling them, before my call got answered) and then her excuse was that the CASE OFFICER WASN'T THERE. Oh what a surprise!!! Then I asked if the case officer only works part time because the woman said he is normally in just late in the afternoon or evening….The answer was No. How can somebody work full time, yet be in the office only late in the afternoon or evening when they shut at 8pm any way….. Bunch of lairs.

They do it all the time Sylvia. My husbands ex gets her money once every 3 months or so, then complains to my husband that his company hasn't paid the money..the CSA tell her they haven't received it, yet we receive confirmation from his company that the money has been deducted & sent..plus statements from the CSA showing when money was received! The interest they are making from that money each month must be a fair whack..

  • Michelle Gibbard says:

well it does state on their forma and booklets that when they recieve the money they forward it on errr isnt that against their own policy to hold onto it then i used to ring on a weekly basis as they would recieve around £70 a week but on the friday i wold recieve £3.74 then i would get the rest on the monday i managed to speak to a decent person once who said to me they shouldnt be doing it so changed the way it went out…worked for a few weeks then it reverted back…hmmm as for case workers they have vanished i don't think there's such a thing in there now i used to have 1 but now it gets dealt with by the person who may follow up my question

  • Angela McMillan says:

they r a bunch of liars, causin more problems between my partner & his ex than ever before….they told her they were waitin for forms from my partner but we hadn't even received any requests for such forms let alone received any forms……they then based payments on an imaginary figure & because it took so long for them to actually process anything arrears mounted up. They did try & demand £1000 by debit card, but hey if only we had that amount in the bank when we have 3 children to house, feed & clothe. My children are not important & I was told (I've taken over my partners case as he's had enough) that CSA payments are priority over any other payment so I shouldn't pay my rent (no home for my children), council tax (I end up in prison, so no mum for my children), gas (so no heating or hot water for my children) & food (so my children shall go hungry) just to pay one child in the care of a woman who won't let my partner see & swears at us in the street in front of all the children. My children are no less important than my partners but the CSA need to realise that the costs of one child should not be more important than the costs of 3 livin with the NRP. SCUM CSA
