Cannot afford rent after CSA have taken their money

My partner has been paying his ex privatley for his son for 7 years as they have been on good terms, the csa decided to involve themselves apparently? They are now taking £500 a month without the correct notification, he has rung them up and explained our situation, we can’t pay our rent or we go with out our travel to work? Either way we are screwed, csa told him tuff! In as many words.

Since csa got involved things have turned sour between him and his ex because she docent have to work, everything is paid for by the social and we are funding her holidays to France, meanwhile we face either eviction for not affording the rent or the sack for not affording travel cost to work, I am 4 months pregnant and can’t afford a pack of nappies let alone a cot or pram, even second hand, we have informed the csa and was told that I should have a termination or failing that he should push me down the stairs, and that the fact I am pregnant has no effect on his payments, after speaking to a supervisor he was told he was allowed a £6 a month reduction in payments but if he lost his job then they would take criminal proceedings.

How the hell can we live like this, the system is all wrong, it is every persons right to have a family and it is every persons right to live a life especially if they work over 40 hours a week

  1. OMG! Did the CSA really tell you to have a termination????

    You are correct, they do not give a stuff how you or your child will live after they have taken what they want. But to be fair its not totally their fault, they only operate the law as laid down by parliment.

    If you cohabit then your partner will be entitled to a 15% discount in his CM to his ex once the baby is born. He must advise the CSA of this as they wont backdate the discount if he delays.

    CM is now a nice little earner for a mother on tax payer funded benefits as they get to keep all of both.

  3. If they had said to me have a termination or get pushed down the stairs, that would of been my screaming headline!!!!!!! ‘Not can’t afford to pay the rent’. Hmm sceptical.

  4. Well, his ex MUST have instructed the CSA and is the only one with the power to remove them under the statute law.What I personally want to do in your situation, I can't write here! My sympathies to you….Welcome to the United Kingdom…it is all bollocks, it is high time we attack the roots instead of the branches of this corrupt company…

  5. Yes I agree with you. It is all wrong. They should look at ex husbands outgoings. We have a DEO on husbands wage 40% they are taken. After tax national ins and the csa take 497:56. That leaves us with 521:65 to live off per mth. Our morg and council is 624:00 how the hell do they think we can live.

  6. their comments re. your pregnancy are disgusting, I'd take that to your MP. They told me they didn't have to include my child on my partners claim without a dna test becaseI "could have been sleeping with anyone", until the MP warned them off. They didn't want to stick to their own rule that ANY child supported by the father was supposed to be included. Even then she's only worth £5 a week to them whereas her sisters are worth £15 each. They disgust me. Hope you can get it sorted, definately go to your MP

  7. We lost everything. Our business gone. All down to a greedy PWC. We where paying too. And she wanted more and ran to the csa. Husband had to take a job fast. And the csa just ran right in and took 40% of his wage. His ex wife when he left her got home and endow. He was homeless for 18 mths. Lived in a tiny caravan. Up to now she has had 26 grand a home endow and 498 as they round it to the near pound they say. 498 of our money. If anyone can live off this with a sick young lady baby on way ect than tell us all how…

  8. Go to see your MP tell him you want a letter into the ICE complaints now. I was asked yesterday. If they put a DEO of 40% of her ex how would that make him homeless. They just don't see it. They are blind and don't want to know. All they want is money the NRP does not have to give.

All of them have a free night. Go to the free night they have. And good luck.

  11. ive had the same predicament,im the nrp, i got phone call asking for double the amount i told them they were taking our food money for the month,the csa advisor just spoke ove the top of me saying there not interested and only want money thats owed to them ive paid for 15yrs,without problems and because im on the new system there askin double,now me and wife are no longer together due to the financial side of it,currently payin 240 plus arrears for one child and the child who lives with me recieves 6 pound a month,ARNT ALL KIDS MEANT TO BE EQUAL,and WHY hasnt the mother been made to get a job too pay her way in society

  14. now because of the csa i am now going to be paying for 2 and not 1,goverment really need to review how this is run is a shambles,my ex partner is sooo lazy ive worked ever since my child was born in 95,why isnt the goverment hassling these mothers who arnt CLEARLY WILLING TO WORK AND JUST SPONGE OF THE SYSTEM

  28. The state are only interested in going after people who make them money, they don't give a damn about the children. It's all about money, hit them there and they will do something about it…more introduce more draconian legislation….

Greedy PWC my ex Fiona Gordon from Carlisle was getting income support as a lone parent while her partner lived with her and worked they were getting rent paid ,c tax paid money from me and money off his wages they were joining it in. I didn't have enough money to pay my rent so was evicted. I reported her to dhss and they didn't want to know. Where is the justice????

  35. Paul – that is awful. It makes me so mad that people like that get away with it, it's just not fair. I was a single parent for a few years and I took a low paid job to fit in around the kids school times, juggled everything on my own. I couldn't sleep at night if I did the same as your ex.

To lose a job is not a criminal offence!!!! you cannot be persued for being sacked or made redundant… Its another CSA scare tactic… as for CSA making comment regarding termination, SICK BASTARDS, maybe tell them next time to consider termination, if you are to consider a termination maybe inform them, ok woith a bomb around me and entering your CSA offices and making detonation to terminate the lives of all the CSA office employees and staff!!!!! terminate that one!!!! CSA TWATS… sick fucks…. Now I'm forced to use language!!!!! not usually an inclusion I make in my Posts, damn … I must be on one 2day!!!!!

    and i shall say it again if somebody at the csa had said to me to either have a termination or get shoved down the stairs. My SCREAMING head line would’nt of been ‘can’t afford to pay the rent’ I would of been onto anybody in postion of authority from all departments, not adding it as an after thought on CSA HELL.

  39. i totally agree with wot a pure shambles this csa farce really are-i see my two kids on a friday tea time and take them back to their mothers on sunday tea time-i work full time and pay £104a week from £265pw wages-how the hell can they justify that ammount-after rent and council tax and gas and electric and my bus pass to work leaves me £22a week-its a pure disgrace

  40. i have to pay between £600 and £850 per month. My net pay isn’t much more than the higher figure and I have to pay £695 rent to start with. I cannot get through the month financially, I will have to quit my job! How crap do I feel right now?

OMG im ready to throw the towl in on my marrage, iv borght my4 kids up single handed with no payment from there dad untill 5yrs ago, i met my husband that has a daughter, every penny iv had iv payed for my kids their dad left and i havent herd a thing since, my husband provides for my kids as do i, but its getting beond a joke today csa took all but £555 to pay our rent councle tax and all our bills there isnt enough, id be better off single my kids go without to give to just one, now this month the ex is getting £674 extra where me and my family are wored how we are going to pay the rent theres no point in my husband doing more hours to pay the rent as csa will just take it, i hate braking the law but im going to have to find a cash in hand job or we will loose our home how can we ever make a life for our selves earn more they take more, the ex gets the same amount of money as us, she has a fela and the same amount of kids on the same benifits tax creds as us but what right dose csa have to play god saying that one exact family should be better off than another? it makes my blood boil, how can they have the right to take and give the way they do i agree kids NEED to be payed for so eather they should find my kids dad pay or not take from my kids to pay for another, oh and one last rant i thorght tax creadits was means tested, giving a top up to low income familys to make sure they were not below the poverty line? if this is the case im living below the poverty line? if this is the case why the hel do i pay tax ? mandy.

    Anyone with half a brain will realise you are talking a load of rubbish.
    I cannot understand your problem , you have always told lies.
    What about your first girlfriend , the one you threatened to burn the house down
    with her and your son in , if she did not leave you alone.
    Just pay for your children like a man , and stop whining.
