Can CSA arrears be added to a debt management plan?
my ex wife has just set the CSA on to me we had a private arrangement that I had struggled with but I had set up a standing order to make regular payments. However, she gave me the wrong bank details and the money didn’t get into the account. the CSA are now going to tahe £500 a month plus a further £300 a month against alleged arrears.
I have a debt management plan and they have advised me that the arrears can be added to this, is this correct?
The CSA are faceless monsters who will not take into account your personal circumstances and don’t listen all payments are calculted against Gross Income surely this can’t be fair? This is likely to split up my new relationship as I now cannot afford to pay my mortgage.

What happened to all the money that was going to the wrong account?
Did you get it all back?
How are they taking the money from you?
Why do the want £500 per month. What does the assessment say?
And arrears? If you were paying under a Private Arrangement it doesn’t matter whether she received the money or not. The CSA assessment only starts from when THEY first contacted you. Hence there should be no arrears. They can’t backdate before they first contacted you.
And, if there are arrears they should add it to the debt management plan.
