Can anyone tell us what they mean by systems one, two and three?
I won’t start from the beginning as I would be here all day. My partner has paid maintenance direct always with the amount decided via the csa, his ex is now trying to claim for the last year which we have all prof of payment for but the csa have not asked for this yet.
He has just called them to ask which system he is on csa 1 2 or 3 to which reply they said he isn’t on any he is on clinical does anyone know what this means.
Thank you in advance

All i know about the different systems.
CS1 Rules. Any case that was opened before 2003.
For 1 child they take 30% of your net income. They do make slight reductions for morgage, pension and insurances but not much. I am on this system and pay £100 a week for 1 child.
CS2 rules. Any case after 2003.
For 1 child they take 15% of net income. 2 children is 20%.
If i was on this system i would be paying £60 a week.
CS3 rules. The new system started December 2012.
This one goes off your gross income for the year before.
It works out as 12% of your gross income.
This is still on trial so not every one will be put on it.
As for CSA clinical case i have no idea.
Could it be Clerical case? This extract was taken from the NACSA website…
http://www.nacsa.co.uk/index.php/moving-from-cs1-cs2-to-cs3
“Group One: Clerical cases. As these are more costly to administer, they are the first group to be targetted for case closure.”
