Bypass the incompetent contractors, speak to the head office
Our experiences of the CSA are that the local CSAoffice (where they insist on having ALL letters sent to) are nothing but a ‘3rd party contract company’ who are working on CSAs behalf, on finding this out, we sent them a ‘get it sorted’ letter and told them that the same letter had been sent to CSA head office in Birkenhead.
Next time you get fobbed off with the usual “you need your bank statements” or if your listening to a completely different story from another braindead operator, bear in mind they may well be a contract company beavering away, hiding their incompetance from the main CSA, so any letters make sure the CSA head offices know about it ;-)…. ours soon got sorted

it appears the regional offices in the country are:

then your local office may deal with your case, i know the bolton office is outsources to a company called Vertex, now if the CSA are useless, this contract company is even worse. they specialise inemploying neanderthols who cant read, cant see, cant count but excel at fobbing you off.
in phone calls we have heard, “its our fault”, then ” i cant see the letter” then “its £4000”, then “its £8000”, now “its £500″……all different phone calls.
it only got sorted once we started sending a copy of the letters to our regional office
