Are letters from the CSA legally binding?
Can anybody tell me if the CSA letters are legally binding. My partner has been paying for his kids since he split up with his ex wife, all arrears have been paid when they said they were owed. We have a letter dated Nov 2008 saying he owes nothing from the past, In April they he says he has £5000.00 arrears, but won’t tell us where they come from. They won’t listen to us even though we have sent copies of these letters. He is on a DOE and would have been not paying for years to get that amount of arrears. CSA are a joke.
Here’s the biggest joke, his ex owes over £2000.00 for the child that lives with us. She has been working over two years and hasn’t paid a penny and now she is appealing on her arrears.

no letter from the csa are not legal binding most letters they send are empty and unlawful threats
Ask for an account breakdown. If you feel you are not being listened to, ask for a supervisor call.
hi there
The CSA are one of the biggest jokes this country has seen!
i pay my child support via a DOE, my company have had problems since changing to monthly pay and now i owe £750 in arrears to which i accept but i had a change of circumstances in sept 2011 to which i now support two step children. however they have not back dated the changes to this date, to which they were informed. in august this year they sent me a letter saying i have been paying to much and was owed a refund of £458.77. and now they tell me that the letter should not have been posted out it was a computer error( bollocks) . when trying to talk to the CSA the woman on the phone talks over you and wont listen to what you have to say !!!!! WHAT A JOKE THE CSA ARE !!!!
thia agency are a disgrace
