After paying thousands the CSA still wants more

When my 1″st wife left me for a younger model whilst I was serving in Bosnia, I was left with nothing (Dad had just died). She got the entire contents of the house and my son.

To try and make a new start, I got a posting to N. Ireland. Our house was sold, she got £10,000, my share had to pay the negative equity. I was assessed by the CSA in Ireland as single and was told to pay £391.73 per month.

I met my soulmate in the same year, she was a widow with 2 very young kids (both under 3). We married in 2000, we asked for a review and were told that because the difference was less than £10 nothing would change!!!! In May 2002, Ryan was born. Again we asked for a review. Again we were told no change!!!!!

In Nov 2006 I left the Army after 22 yrs service, (more to the point the CSA could no longer get my money from source). I now have another unexpected addition to the familiy (Sian aged 2). In a recent letter from the CSA I am told that although I have paid £32,500 for my 1 child for a 10 year period, I still owe them £20,000!!!!

Even now I am remarried with 4 chldren, left the Army in 2006 and work 6 days a week as a bus driver and rent a council house after losing my own home in the recession they are still trying to send me to an early grave!!!! WHEN WILL THEY GO AWAY?

Can anyone help or give me some advice please???

  1. Complain to the Independent case examiners Office and ask for a FULL review of your case! Go to your M.P. and write to Cameron, Clegg and Duncan Smith at the DWP.

Embarass the hell out of them!

  2. Neil your story is terrible and I am sure alot of people on the website are going through the same as you.

My ex partner had so much hastle like you they took his house to pay £29,000 they said he owed and no sooner was the money paid when they came back and said they want more.

They dont care about your new family, in their eyes your old family are more important.
    Keep strong

Well the so called ‘independent’ case examiners office isnt that independent, its part of the same DWP as the csa and seems to exist to protect its partner department, your MP cant do that much and most dont want to, the csa was agreed by MP’s in the labour party and is now supported by MP’s in the tory party and none of them have any power over the csa who are apparantly above the law and even tell the courts what to do, ian duncan smith supports the csa and thinks ‘absent fathers’ just like you should pay through the nose, the press and media seem to be “all in it together” with the government/’DWP/CSA and are very reluctant to sat anything against them. It makes you wonder what its all about, they seem to have been given carte blanche to do what they want and stuff the law. Guess what fella, you have given yourself in service to this country, risking your life to protect and defend those in the DWP, the Media, politicians, ian duncan smith and the csa. How does that make you feel. You have sir my sympathy and respect, to describe these people as scum would be an insult to you as in my view they are worse, I think of them as traitors. I wish you (and your new family) the very best and hope you get the success most of us on here are fighting for.
