£400 out of my wages, without warning, for a child I’m not even sure is mine
Basically i had a short relationship with a work friend,went out with her for about 6 weeks…we then split up and she turned around a few weeks later and said she was pregnant..fair enough ! except i knew she had been fooling around with her best friends hubby also.
The child was born and she named me as the dad.i didnt attend the birth or have my name put on the birth certificate,as obviosly i wasnt sure that i am the father.the csa tried to collar me for the maintenence and i explained the above cercumstances,and requested a dna test which she refused to take, they told me they would then close the case.
Fast forward to 3 months ago when all of a sudden the csa start taking £400 pounds a month straight out of my wages,no letter no warning just £400 down ! have phoned and phoned and phned with no joy whatsoever,just that nothing will change and if i want a dna then i will have to pay for one,which is a joke seeing as they have left me with about £80 a month to live on,i am married now with 2 young sons i bring home about £1200 a month rent is £550,car payment £220,council tax is £130,and they take £400.
I cannot believe they are allowed to do this,they have no grounds to believe i am the parent of this child i have never seen him,and now my children are suffering and going without…….if anyone has any advice on what i can do or where i go from here i would really appreciate it………..

Ask csa for DNA test, you pay for it but if you are not father you get money back, but only the money after you ask for a DNA test you get nothing from before

Jill it takes two to tango !!! So if i go and tell csa that my daughter who lives wiv me is some random womans child would they take my word for it and make her pay or would they check it ! Its double standards one rule for men and another for women !!

Tbf amanda its happened !!!! its happened to me i got custody of my girl told them who the mother is And do csa make my ex pay nope ! Wont touch the case !

Did you receive a closure letter the first time?
Did you receive a second MEF (maintenance enquiry form) and did you dispute paternity on receiving it?
If you did not receive either one or both then you have grounds for a complaint.
If they did not contact you before the deduction from your earnings took place then you have further grounds.
Write recorded delivery letter headed complaint and list your grievances.

Maybe she was blind for not seeing him skin up or just plain stupid for letting him have sex with her without a coat, or maybe she was just gagging for it and didn’t care? And what about her responsibility for perhaps telling him “I’m not on the pill”

£400 a month is way to high for a net pay of £1200 a month, they must have slapped arrears on that as well. write to them…don’t call, and email and copy your MP in demanding to know when this woman opened a case and ask them for your data printouts. You have learned already that this vermin lie, they obviously didn’t close the case. They do not care about your life being ruined, only money they can legally rob from you and earn interest on whilst in their slimy bank accounts. the csa don’t give a shit about you or your family and kids or the pwc’s kids, only what they can legally rob from us. ignore the shit that some man haters spew out on this site…yes you know who you are.

I get so fed up with men on here and their new partners slagging off women with care saying we are being greedy asking for child maintenance from the children’s fathers. This is a very bias forum who are haters of women with care who are just asking the biological fathers to financially help support their children.
