Why has my child missed out on a year of payments?

I applied for child support two years ago. I gave them all the details they needed, bank details, addresses.

I would ring every three months to see where my claim was, they would pass me around and around, telling me they knew I had a claim but unsure why it had not started up yet.

I sent them a letter in writing as they asked yet no one seems to be able to tell me what’s going on.

My claim is open now but I would like some answers on why my child has missed over a year’s worth of payments.

I feel I am banging my head against the wall, as no one has explained why this has happened.
