What is classed as proof that daughter is not in further education?

August 3, 2016

Since the old CSA stopped when my husbands daughter turned 16 we thought that was the end of it, oh how wrong we were.  His ex put a new claim in to the new CSA which ended up costing more as they have gone off what my husband earned last year including overtime.  This is costing us £40 a month more and making life difficult.

When we asked the CSA when these payments would cease as she had turned 16 and we have heard through family that she is not going into further education they said it was not their place to prove she was not going onto further education it was ours to prove that she wasnt.

I asked what evidence we needed to show that we no longer needed to pay maintenance and he just laughed and said he did not know.  I asked if I could talk to someone who did know and he said quickly changed the subject saying his ex would inform them if she did not require the payments anymore.

Oh My Lord, is there anyone out there that naive, I said unfortunately people aren’t that  honest and I need to know what is classed as proof and he changed the subject again.  At this point I had been on the phone for over an hour and was seriously loosing the will to live.

Could anyone please tell me what the CSA class as proof as a child not going to further education, unfortunately we do not see child and do not have a good relationship with mother.
