PWC should provide receipts to show what they spend the money on

I have been separated from my ex partner for just over 4 years now we have 3 boys together and I pay child maintenance every week deducted directly from my wage as she will not allow me to pay her directly for some unknown reason. In the 4 years we have been separated I am yet to see one thing that my child maintenance has bought my children.

My 3 boys come to stay with me and my wife every other weekend(court ruling that I was only entitled to contact every fortnight) and every time they come they are dressed in exactly the same clothes from socks, underwear to the tracksuits and trainers they wear there is never no coat provided even during the winter.

I have had numerous conversations with my ex as to what she is spending the child maintenance on and whether my children are being provided for properly but all I get is the old “it has nothing to do with you”, “I spend it how I see fit” and when pushed as to whether the maintenance is being spent on my 3 boys I have had several indifferent answers ranging from “well they don’t always need things”(which to me means I spent it on myself) to “I don’t have to justify what I spend it on, you left me this is your punishment”(paying child maintenance is not seen as a punishment or a chore by myself it is paid to make sure my 3 boys have everything they need and want).

I have recently started up a online government petition which is to make the parent receiving child maintenance provide receipts as to what their spending the maintenance on to remain eligible for maintenance.  I would be really grateful if you could publish this so that I can gain the support I need to have this looked at in the House of Commons.
