Made a CSA claim but it has vanished?

Almost 2 months ago now i made a claim online through government gateway for csa. I have a son who is due to turn 2 and his father has not contributed a penny to his upbringing nor paid any attention to him.

He has recently gone to a solicitor as he decided he wanted access and didnt want to ask me, so now he’s getting access in my house, and still not contributing and ive heard nothing following my claim for csa.

When i logged back into government gateway there was nothing to say I’ve ever used it or made a claim for anything, so now im going to have to reapply? Miss out on back payments? All the while my ex has quit his job to escape paying for his son and recieve legal advice for free. Yet because i work its costing me a fortune and im not receiving anything back off him because of csa messing about?

How is this fair and what can i do about it..
