Kerry Katona takes legal advice over ex-husband Brian McFadden

June 10, 2010

Ex singer, and winner of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Kerry Katona is allegedly taking legal advice regarding maintenance payments from ex – husband Brian McFadden.

Katona, 29, has claimed that ex Westlife singer McFadden has failed to keep up regular payments of maintenance for their two daughters.

The couple, who married in 2002 and divorced four years later, had two children – Molly, who is eight and seven year old Lilly Sue.

Katona, the star of Iceland and Asda TV advertisements, originally got in touch with the Child support Agency to formally arrange financial payments of Child Support Maintenance.

However, McFadden, who is engaged to singer Delta Goodrem, is living in Australia meaning that that Katona is unable to rely on any CSA help to pursue payments.

It is believed that she has contacted a Manchester based firm of lawyers for CSA arrears advice, and that they are to contact McFadden with a view to set up regular maintenance payments.

The People newspaper quoted a source as saying:

“Kerry thinks Brian should be doing more towards providing money for Lilly-Sue and Molly.

“And she intends to do all she can to make it happen.”

Katona, who has had well documented financial troubles, has recently been in contact with the Child Support agency regarding her other ex husband Mark Croft. She alleges that Croft, 38, has so far failed to pay any maintenance for their two children Heidi, 3 and Max, 2.
