I work to provide a better life for my wife and step-son but the CSA is taking too much

Hi there, up until 2 years ago I was paying the csa. They then got a court order so I can’t have any credit or own any property, they say I owe them 22,000 pounds.

At the last count the csa were taking 800 pounds a week from my salary saying that anything I earned above 127 pounds would be takin by my employer. I couldn’t,t live on the 127 pounds that they said was protected income, my rent alone costs more than this.

I want to work to provide a Bauer life for my wife and my disabled step son I have tried speaking with the csa but they are unwilling to negotiate how can I work when the csa makes working illogical please help this is causing me untold stress.

  1. Have you challenged the amount, seems CSA rubber stamp these liability orders through the courts, maybe time you got your data file it costs a tenner and will show exactly where these false made up amounts come from, make a complaint to the review team at Newcastle via email, complaints.review@csa.gsi.gov.uk, or join our Facebook group child support agency ripoffs for more help and advice

  2. Seems an awful lot of money to be paying to the CSA. Have u not asked them for a re calc? However, what about a better life for ur actual children? Seems a bit mean providing this “better life” for ur step-son and not mention a better life for ur own children

  3. CSA dont care about second familes full stop!! the pwc can move on all they like and remarry but still claim away off the nrp but if the nrp moves on then its tough

  4. I can vouch for that Mary. They(CSA) care not one bit about second families.I get the impression they think the nrp shouldn’t have any more children. We are in a situation where despite paying the pwc she is saying we haven,t .We have every bit of proof the CSA could look at but they say she has to say she accepted our regular long term dd payments as CM & she WONT! They are taking almost a third of our wages .Our young son is not given any thought to in preference to the pwc’s children & she gets all the tax credits ,single parent benefits & we get nothing as ctc & wtc are worked out before a third of income is given to pwc! The CM received by the pwc is disregarded now if on benefits(since last year)We cant afford prescriptions or dental treatment when we need it ! Yet the pwc could be living with a millionaire & they still get it all! Most unfair system it needs making it more FAIR to ALL children.

  5. Right WHO is this Pb ??
they seem to have a lot of negative responses to a number of postings here. Biased maybe in favour of the pwc. How the fuck can you suggest the better life for his own kids when hes rapped so much already of cash for them and suggest they, under the circumstances should come before his dis abled step son. what fucking planet are you from Pb ?
    Gonk

  6. Pb when you’re in a family unit biology doesn’t come into it. How do you know that this guys child (ren) hasn’t got a step dad or that the op hasn’t provided? Nrps are allowed a life to without being penalised for moving on. My advise, get your mp involved and make a complaint that you’re being left in severe hardship….under the human right act the child in your household is entitled to a decent quality of life….throw that at them.

Obvious troll post…jog on you csa cunt, and have a nice day!

  8. Hard to understand what’s going on with the CSA if they are taking 800 pounds per week as that will pay off the arrears in just over six months and they normally work on a two year time scale.
They are taking far too much.
Contact them in writing, by recorded delivery, outlining your weekly expenses and demonstrate how much you can afford to pay and request a full reassessment.
Keep copies of all you send in.

  9. @ mr Whitley
Yes I have come to the same conclusion. This twat Pb is obviously CSA scum or another Karen Bedford
    Gonk

  10. Ha! Love how u lot “judge” people based on ur own lives! I do not work for the CSA and my name is not Karen either! My name is Pete and I am an absent father who has paid the CSA for MY CHILDREN and never got myself into arrears. I remarried and I have a step son as well as my own son from my new marriage. I go to work and I support my wife, step son and all 3 of my biological children. They r my children and my financial responsibility. I do not expect my ex to rely on her new partner to provide for my kids. Just saying

  11. Well Pb – one are definitely in the minority on this website….. NOT because you “pay for the children” but because you have not been fixed with FALSE arrears!!!!

Very few fathers on this website don’t want to pay for their kids but the majority have been left destitute because of the idiots who work for the CSA making mistakes!!!

If you read some of the stories on here you might be a bit more sympathetic to others… The CSA does not serve the purpose it was intended for and the decent mothers and fathers are victimised or ignored…. open your eyes to the real world….

  12. @ pb
Well ain’t you the lucky one, a glowing example of a fine up standing citizen you are. Have a gold star, maybe we should all be taking a leaf out of your book and all be happy as larry’s lol…what a wonderful world you see the CSA and absent parents through using your rose coloured scented glasses. Take them off and wipe the s**t out of your eyes. You do not represent the real world, go back to fairy land
I do hope that one day ghost arrears drops through your door in the obligatory. Brown envelope…wonder how you will react then.

Sally….this one wouldn’t understand sympathetic if it came up and punch him in the face.
    Gonk

  13. And another thing pb
I think you would soon change your attitude if your ex decided to go after more money from you and your new wife’s child tax credits…just saying
    Gonk

  14. @ pb I take my hat off for you. Your message will not go down well on this forum. I get the same abuse. I was in a very similar situation and took the same approach as you did. I also was accused of being a troll and must be working for the CSA.

All I can say to Steven Bray: How on earth did you manage to clock up 22,000 in arrears? Your post suggests you were made a bankrupt because of other financial problems. Is that right? I hate to break it to you, but a debt to your children or the CSA will not be ‘written off’ if you take the bankruptcy route. My wife’s ex made that mistake. Kept job hopping and never told the CSA of any change in his circumstances. He knew I would cover for him financially and his kids would lack nothing. Then he made the mistake of sending his kids, using our address, post cards from all the exotic places he took his countless new girlfriends. He had money for that all-right! Some NRPs must think their wife’s new partner have ‘mug’ written all over. Some also have good memory! Maybe park your Hire Purchase Mercedes around the corner when you next drop off your kids? Oh you poor NRP 🙁

I save my sympathy for NRPs that are fully paid up and still don’t get to see their kids. Now that stinks and is worth putting on a batman suit and cheering for! Not people who can’t handle money problems of their own making.

Top trolling, mate you fucking csa maggot, funny as fuck! lol!

  16. @ Mr Whitey. Do You know any other English words besides F*&ck and ‘CSA troll’? Let me educate you. A troll, usually an anonymous person using a pseudonym like you do, says things like ‘maggot’ because they have nothing witty or original and of value to offer in a discourse. They just want to hurt, like you saying ‘you make so many spelling mistakes’. Then when it is pointed out there were actually zero mistakes you laugh stupidly like some sort of moron.

  17. Ahhh bless, everyone getting along so well again.

Setting aside for just a few minutes who is a troll and who it is that cannot spell etc etc, the original poster to this thread has some serious issues that need addressing:
    1) “Hi there, up until 2 years ago I was paying the csa” so the questions are, was the correct amount being paid, if so why have there been restrictions applied? i.e “They then got a court order so I can’t have any credit or own any property” something does not ring true here.
    2) “they say I owe them 22,000 pounds.” How come if regular payments have been made?
    3) “At the last count the csa were taking 800 pounds a week from my salary saying that anything I earned above 127 pounds would be takin by my employer” Something seriously wrong here and requires further investigation.

    These are just my thoughts.

Will let you all carry on again now, oh by the way, I don’t think that I am a ‘troll’ just someone that has a look now and then at this cyber family all getting along so well and playing nicely.

  18. For one of Marcus (who clearly thinks every other NRP is doing something wrong re CSA) there is 10 THOUSAND of the other (NRPs who follow CSA guidelines to the letter but still get screwed over)..

We really should try to excuse Marcus for his ignorance… He clearly can’t help himself…

  19. @Michael Of course I know what a troll is. A troll on CSAHELL is enyone who doesn’t follow the party line and has an independent opinion, or…. we could follow the wikipedia definition http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(Internet) You decide.

Has anyone actually heard me saying anything positive about the CSA? Or am I being hounded because I stand up to one or two little twisted minds, who are not really sick and twisted, it’s just that the CSA and their exes made them that way so they are excused and insult who they like???

As for the NRP vs PWC debate, I have been both at the same time. Having dealt with the CSA for 18 years and having had some victories I think I have relevant experience to share. But if its just bitching that sells advertising on this space let me know and I will move on.

  20. No, you don’t know. You seem to think anyone who swears is a troll. Anyone who disagrees with you is a troll. Anyone you think is less intelligent than you is a troll.

A troll is someone who, very skilfully, turns a conversion off topic. To be a troll you have to be very intelligent. So, in order you don’t offend my sensibilities, stop calling everyone a troll. The constant misuse of the term really pisses me off.

  21. Well said Michael
And to Marcus…fuck off …there I’m trolling lol.
I take offence to your shit you spout on here. ” Not people who can’t handle money problems of their own making” for your info mr motor mouth, my own debts came about for the benefit and well being of my family, my ex fucks off because she was screwing another bloke and takes my kid away from her her and my reward is being screwed by her and the CSA for the privilege. And your ref to new partners having ” mug” written across their forehead, more shit you spouting, I for one Nrp am the mug, why should a father be forced to hand over money to an ex and new partner and having no say on how or even if that money is actually spent on whom it’s intended for…..the CHILD. Don’t insult my limited intelligence and tell me that my money is not topping up my ex’s partner’s salary and in my case also funding my step daughter as well since her useless father pays nothing for his daughter because my ex hasn’t filled a claim against him, I’d say that was a personnel vendetta against me wouldn’t you.
Lots of us do swear on here purely out of anger and frustration about how the CSA treat them and reading comments from pricks like you who see the world through rose coloured spectacles.
Now I don’t use big words like an obviously educated jumped up twat like your self, but you still understand me don’t you.
    Gonk

  22. @ carrie’s comment

    carrie on October 19th, 2013 6:09 pm

100% agree with your comments Carrie. MARCUS …Take off those specs and wipe the shit out of your eyes and read….THIS is the real world and how the CSA treat people.
    Gonk

  23. Hey Topper

Yes, the original posters issues, as normal, have yet again been ignored/forgotten in favour of ‘trolls’ and whinging that posts on a site that advises NRPs &PsWC equally appear in favour of a PWC – result eh…..

    Steven,

You should be left with at least 60% of your income – unless you have agreed the CSA can take more than 40%.

You really do need to establish if the alleged arrears are correct and if so, how they have accrued.
Your DP file (& complete account breakdown) can be obtained from the CSA, it will cost you £10 ( do not send cash. Cheques/ postal orders should be made payable to; CSA) and you should receive such within 40 days.
Once in receipt you should be able to establish whether the arrears are a result of a delayed reassessment etc, or an error – then you will be in a better position to deal with the mater.
