I have no rights in this country and ex receives all of my child benefit

During more than 12 years of marriage i have suffered domestic violence, economic blackmail and documents of immigration status. We have 4 kids. twins children aged 14 years, 11 year-old girl and a girl of 6 years.they always live with me. in November 2010 occurred the last domestic violence … my former parner was sentenced by a month. We have received no economic aid, nor benefit.i have made a request to receive the child beneffit to my name, it’s been more than 4 months and investigations continue. because my ex partner was recieved the child beneffit.

I work 40 hours a week from 7 am to 3 pm. I have many expenses and debts, having no status in this country can not receive benefits, even I am still waiting for my passport. I’ve done my own application on migration in order to apply for a place to live with my children, the House where I live with my children this in the name of my ex-husband, and according to the law have no rights over it, and nor can I apply for housing because I have no visa or a status in this country. my four children were born in this country, the twins have British citizenship, my daughters and I are waiting for response from migration.

I came in this country in August 1995 and I was always dependent on my ex-husband who did nothing to help me with my status in this country, I had a visa for 3 years and with which i was able to get the work where i still work sibnce 2007 I paid taxes and i can’t do any application to ask for financial aid o child tax credit.

I have had to pay my lawyer money to help me resolve my immigration status, I have consulted with all the insitutciones for help, but the answer is the same I have no rights because I don’t have my passport. It is very unfair that my former political refugee husband receive free legal aid and money and we do not have rights and can not do any application because I am apparently illegal in this country. I have met two occasions with the Member of Parliament (MP) from my area asking for help but even I am still waiting for a response.

I am very stressed but I can not get sick I have to move on, to work because I have no other solution to keep fighting for my children and wait patiently for the response of the authorities of this country.
