I care for my two boys but still CSA threatens prison

In 2004 I received a bill for 32,000 pounds, yes 32 thousand pounds!!!

This is the figure that they have plucked from thin air with a previous wage I was earning, it is for my first son from a one night stand with an older women, I was 17 @ the time and she was much older, he is now 19 and they are no longer seeking payments just the backdated amount, I didn’t know about the child till he was 5 which is the age of my youngest right now and apparently it is my fault that I did not tell them of a change in circumstances or changes off address even though they have been notified of my new address through the ‘system’!!

I am unemployed and the full time carer for my two sons from my most current relationship, we have separated due to this debt hanging over our heads and other financial difficulties, I have offered to make repayments on my terms but this has fallen on deaf ears and they are unwilling to listen!!!!!!

They have now threatening myself with bailiff action and prison. I do not have any assets, I rent a house, I am on benefits and all hope seems lost!!!!!
