As far as I know, my son has forgotten all about me
My son will be 15 in December, I haven’t seen him in 12 years as my ex has now got married to the guy she ran off with and had 4 more children with him. They’ve moved away and not told me where they are, as far as I know my son has forgotten all about me.
I was unemployed and on sickness benefits for a few years as I had a nervous breakdown and serious mental problems. I’ve now been in work for just over 4 years, and have told the CSA constantly that I was working. I’ve not been asked for any payments at all in this time as I was constantly told ‘I was being re-assessed’, only to suddenly be hit with a Deduction of Earnings for £100.85 a week.
I only earn £225 a week after tax, and don’t get tax credits as I earn too much. When I rang CSA to complain I found out that I had been assessed on the wages I was receiving in 2006! They now have up to date info on my earnings and have promised to re-assess me as soon as possible. I hope it doesn’t take too long as I really can’t afford to pay that much per week, when I have rent and bills to pay!
