After everyone has moved on the CSA rears its ugly head again 17 years later
3 children. Daughter, late 20’s. No contact for years. Her Brother, 1 year younger. Same story. 1 child by second marriage. Paid child support for the first two, never missed a payment. CSA contacted second wife re youngest now almost 20. She said they were destructive to families and did more harm than good and told them to leave her alone.
I’ve never heard anything from the CSA in respect of the youngest but paid second wife £25 per week for him and still do. I help out with unforeseen expenditure, take him on holidays etc. In fact I have a very good relationship with his mother largely because the CSA haven’t interfered.
Letter received the other day telling me they are now reviewing my case. I think this is quite a reasonable position to take really. As in don’t bother to contact me for 17 years and then when we’re all moving on, politely inform me my case is being reviewed at some point in the future when they get round to it. Words fail to describe the frustration and angst this is now causing me. Suicidal – not far off. Who needs the grief and mental agony.
