CSA Avoiding Payment
Some non resident parents, whether they’re fathers or mothers, wish to avoid the CSA altogether. This may be because they don’t want to financially support their children, it could be because they have been denied access to their children and don’t see why they should support a child they have no access to, or it may be because they have entered into a private arrangement with the PWC (parent with care) and they don’t want to pay extra to the CSA.
Whatever the reason, avoiding payment to the CSA is extremely difficult and risky. The longer you avoid payment to the CSA, the more CSA arrears that mount up and the more you’ll end up owing in the long run. This could result in owing tens of thousands of pounds to the CSA, and possibly even losing your home or being sent to prison. Avoiding payment to the CSA altogether isn’t advisable as they use a variety of means to track down non resident parents, including data held by the HMRC and by credit companies. They also use private companies to help them track people down and force them to pay, and in some cases can even resort to the use of bailiffs.
While it’s fair to say that many non resident parents feel they cannot afford to pay the Child Support Agency the sort of money that they demand, avoiding the CSA altogether is not the best course of action. Here at CSAHell.com we feature daily news and stories from people who deal with the CSA all the time, and their advice on dealing with the CSA will prove very useful to you, whether you’re a non resident parent or a parent with care.
