Why will the CSA accept his lies?

April 17, 2015

I have been trying for the last 2 years to get my childrens CSA payments updated to what they should be without any success. My ex partner gets a reduction on his payments as he has the children stay over night.

Originally this was 2 nights every weekend but as of 2 years ago this time reduced to 2 nights every 2 weeks and since January this year my eldest child hasn’t stayed with her father at all and has said she no longer wishes to stay with him for her own personal reasons.

I have called the CSA several times to have these circumstances changed, however they have told me they cannot take my word on the changes and that my ex partner would have to agree that these over night stays have changed. They have said that he has denied any change to the circumstances and so the payments will remain the same unless I take him to court and prove otherwise.

I am a mother of 5 on a limited income and am unable to afford court costs to do this and so I have to just accept the fact that he can lie and pay less than half of what he should be paying. I think this is absolutely disgusting that they will take his word but not mine. Absolutley furious.
