The CSA are money grabbing buggers!

February 25, 2013

The CSA claim they treat every individual case FAIRLY….. me and my husband are both going through the CSA my husband was contact in the last 12 months through his ex partner and we were paying csa for his son 9no problem as im up for paying for what you created) but then my husband chaned jobs from full time to part and his wage is below £600 BUT YET they can still take %40 of his wage what the hell, my case on the other hand is TOTALLY DIFFERENT my ex partner hasnt paid maintenance for 3 years (his words are he pays enough) I rung the CSA last August to inform them he is working and gave details of new address they still havent done anything they didnt even record the fact I rung to leave information, they are quick enough to hound my husband but yet cant pull their thumb out of their backside to sort my ex partner out.

My husband isn’t even on the birth certificate of his son hasn’t ever but if we want prove that he is his son we have to pay for a DNA test…. why should we pay, his ex didnt want him on it for a reason and why is that reason??

I dont understand how the CSA owrk their calculations its ridiculous and their priorities are ribbish, they rung me on a SUNDAY to gather more informtion about my husband why are they not ring me to give me information about MY case, I spoke to the same person back in August 2012 so he should have recorded details on BOTH cases but unfortunately not on mine, only on my husbands…… a complaint is going to be made about this person as he can be tracked down, i spoke to one person only that day about both cases so just by looking at my husbands case they can find out who should of recorded something on my case…

They are money grabbing buggers and so is his ex, and as for my ex partner he took me to court of shared custody got what he wanted (even though ive NEVER stopped him) but WONT be man enough to pay for what he made……. in the last 2 years I could have put £520 away for £5 a week off him….. but instead my husband pays for every day to day needs NOT him…..

Its not just men they screw over but also women…. each case treated fairly HA i dont think so……

Here is some general advice –

‘This isnt the csa its an open forum so don’t give names/details etc especially of children. (your own name can be used to identify the kids, and your case)

Don’t deal with the csa by phone, everything in writing, sent recorded, keep the receipts.

Copy your MP into everything and try and get them involved as your advocate.

Make a formal complaint about any decision you are unhappy with from the outset as time limits are involved. Always go for an appeal tribunal asap following the internal process.

Get a copy of your Data Protection prints from the outset so you know what you are dealing with, again follow the correct procedure in wording your request to get ALL information, send it to the right department, send the correct fee.

Don’t be afraid to complain about any csa staff, or their superiors if you feel you have just cause.

Remember the process, internal complaint, ‘independent’ case examiner (the csa protection department), appeals tribunal, parliamentary and health service ombudsman through your mp for maladministration.’

There are a couple of sites you can also look at –

    © ChildSupportLaws – general info.

ww.fmotl.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=8006 – not sure it will help but worth a look.

ww.deadbeatdadsassociation.co.uk – they don’t help you if you are getting advice elswhere.

ww.nacsa.co.uk/page/contact_us.html – I’ve heard of them and they get a good review but cost money. (£30pm I think)

Read the various threads on here you may pick up some useful info.

Finally a specialist csa solicitor may be worth talking to but can be expensive and usually end up putting you in touch with a specialist barrister. Still worth an initial interview though but to reduce costs you can use a ‘direct access’ barrister (find through internet) and save on solicitor costs.

    Good luck.
