Should I go to the CSA to pay my ex and see my kids?

December 11, 2011

I am currently thinking about applying to the CSA myself. In August 2009 I split from my ex wife , suffered domestic violence and her incessant infidelity throughout the marriage.

She left the marital home with the kids and now lives in rented on huge benefits her annual take home income is over 29k in the hand. I pay her 290 a month and have done so since she left. she has now restricted me seeing the kids I get them for 6 nights a month. I was at court yesterday to begin proceedings to have the kids, all at my cost. I am on a war pension and war disablement pension my annual income is less than 30k.

So if I went to the CSA im sure I would be told i would have to pay less than I do.She has refused to pay any of the ongoing joint financial responsibilties which are nearly 900 a month.SHe constantly complains about having no money has had a hottub put in her back garden, been on holiday 3 times this year and her partner stays with her 5 or 6 nights a week and looks after my children when she is at work. I wasnt allowed to see my 11 yr old son on his birthday and i get my kids on xmas day at 5pm.

I have read a lot of comments about fathers not paying but I have to say what about the fathers that do and are facing mothers who actively do there utmost to stop children spending time with their dads. I am an honest hard working supporting respected person so for all those mothers who complain about their fathers just sit back and think about the fathers for a change because the mothers are sometimes far worse than the fathers. But I still cant understand the simple fact its not about the mothers or fathers its all about the children and that gets forgotten in all the squabbles. I do hope my ex goes shopping and buys a concious and gets some free SHAME to match it.

I am amazed at the effect money has on people. We have parents trying to hide their income and leaving their jobs to sign on and parents trying to squeeze every last penny out of their exes. Where do the children come in this?
No disrespect to you genuine people out there but some parents do see this as a game and try to outwit each other.
