CSA gives incorrect information and says it won’t change anything

May 7, 2013

A few days ago i called the CSA to make my regular monthly payment to be told off the cuff that a deduction of earnings order has been set up for over double what i regularly paid.

I obviously was very shocked by this and asked why to be told that my payments had been re-calculated and i should of been paying more and therefore owed arears. I was then told that if i pay my usual regular amount then this would be taken from the arears and the deduction of earnings would decrease. I bit my tongue paid almost £200 and hung up.

I have today phoned the CSA to be told that the money i paid a few days ago has just been taken from the arears but the regular amount will not go down. I obviously expressed that i feel i have been lied to in order to gain more money and asked that they listen to the call recording to prove what i am saying is correct to be told that even when they listen to the call and discover i was given incorrect information it wont change anything because they could actually take more money if they wanted.

Hi, It is fraud simple. Go to the local police. If the amounts are wrong and are asking to much it is a crime as fraud is a crime in the uk. They will be procescuted. Here are the laws.

In criminal law, fraud is intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual; the related adjective is fraudulent, and verb is defraud. Fraud is a crime and a civil law violation, though the specific criminal law definition varies by legal jurisdiction. Defrauding people or entities of money or valuables is a common purpose of fraud.

    Good luck
