Children 3 nights a week yet I am an absent father

August 23, 2012

I have been paying the CSA for approx 9 years. During the 9 years I have been having my 2 children to stay overnight 3 times a week. During school holidays they stay for more than 3 nights & I also take them on holiday at least once a year for a minimum of 1 week.

Still I have to pay the CSA because I am deemed as a absent father due to me not claiming family allowance for any child as their mother claims this for both children.

I am currently paying the CSA x amount but taking into account the extra nights I have my children it works out that on a yearly basis that I have them more nights a year than their mother.

Why should i have to pay the CSA?
