Why am I paying so much?
I know there are a lot of us in the vote on here but i seem to really be getting my ass spancked i pay over £ 500.00 a month and have just been reasesed and its going up £35.00 a week so where is the insentive for me to go to work.
When speaking to them (the csa ) they say its cause my wage as increased so i can afford to pay more the only reason my wage as gone up is because ive been doing overtime so i can live. They should leave overtime alone and just stick to basic wages and all this is for just one child and at the end of the day im only a wagon driver.
There so called personal allowances are a joke they give £115.00 for housing my rent alone is that then £67.50 personal allowance ive been told off the csa that this is for gas,elec,water,tv, then theres £ 77.97 food, running of my car witch i need to get to work and for me so they say £260.47 a week is all i need to live on well it cost me £867.56 a month to run my house all in so that leave me £174.32 and break that down to weekly witch is how im paid its nothing and they talk to you like crap .

You need to be moved over to cs2 as you are on cs1 by the sounds of it
I take it your being spanked by a deo? So overtime is really a no no, its so unfair that they work like this. You don’t say how many children its paying for?? If you do feel its too much ask for a breakdown and tell them its leaving you in hardship, do this by letter, never ring them. If they come at you and say its correct speak to your mp and to them you feel its taking away your right to a life, which is against your human rights. We are all in agreement that children need supporting, but not by bankrupting the nrp, its not fair. Good luck.

Do the figures for CSA payments include any arrears?

Are you paying under the old pre 2003 system or the new system? For one child under the new system they shouldnt be stopping any more than 15% of your nett income from your wages ( unless you have been calculated as owing arrears that is, then they seem to add on what evere they like on top of your regular4 maintenance!),. There is a child maintenece calculator on the CSA website you can use. Try it and if they are over charging you as you say and you are not getting any joy from your current case worker. Step your case up to their complaints deopartment and get it reassessesd immediately. You should have been sent a payment schedule of how much your monthly payments are and how your maintenance has been calculated. If you havent been sent one. Insist on them sending you one by post. If all that fails, get your MP involved. Good luck.
I know where your coming from my husband as a daughter with someone else and been paying csa for years with alot of hassle (my thread is in csa mistakes) and we have had a letter for £680 p/m for 1 child as they calculated his wages on overtime and that was so we could buy our 4 children xmas presents which he only does this once a year… they take the piss big time we are fighting it at the moment cause they give him 0.00 for travelling costs and i said how u expect him to get to work fly is it she didnt like it so that has got to be sorted out… the CSA are a bunch of WANKERS I hate them so much.. for what they have put me & my family through the sooner his daughter turns 16 or the day before her 19th birthday cant come quick enough 6 years to go…
Having read all yr messages. I really sympathise because i got my partner to go to the mp over the CSA. Although he got things sorted quicker. The CSA tried to make an example of my partner because he dared to go to the MP. But he fought that aswell and won. After a lengthy time and alot of hassle. But well worth it if you keep plodding along with it. Also I would like to say I know that absent parents should pay towards their child. But we know that the money is funding the childs mothers night life and not what it is meant for. I think that the parents with care should be made to prove that the intended money is going on child/ren in question. What about the nrp aswell they have still got to live and what about there quality of life. I know for a fact if my partner was not paying out all that money, we would have a better quality of life. And the parent with cares social life would not be so good!!!!!
Joanne, he does state how many kids for and its got nothing to do with a deo or how hes paying, they dont deduct more by deo if you do overtime, they send the employer a schedule and the employer takes that amount whether he works overtime or not, i agree that the way its worked out isnt correct and yes he does need it to be reviewed on the old system however i do believe that overtime should be used, its a percentage of your wage earned it doesnt matter how your wage is made up, why should the child suffer if you just use a basic calculation while the nrp’s working overtime or earning bonuses or commission and living the life of riley?!?!
hi thanks for responses and some of them ive already tried ive been fighting these tossers for the last 15 years and just when i think i can see the end they come and bend u over and fuck u up the ass again sorry for the f and geffs they just really get to me . Cindy and Tammy i see where your coming from im the same i look at what ive got then look at them they change there car every three years i drive a 400 pound shed i know there morgage is only 400 pound a month so i pay for them and they still have money left over makes me sick .

If you have been fighting them for 15 years then it means you are on the CS1 rules like me. That means 30% of your net pay goes to them. I am also on CS1.
My take home pay is £370 a week. They make me pay £100 a week. I have a morgage of £115 a week.
If i was on the CS2 system i would only have to pay £60 a week.
What they are doing is totaly illegal and against human rights by running a 2 tier system but nobody has the money to take these people to court.
What it needs is for everyone on the old CS1 rules to club together and try for a class action case against them.
Hi Jay, What a joke you are. What you on about overtime and commission should be taken into account of the nrp. The only reason overtime is needed is so the nrp can afford to live. And wot you on about the nrp living the life of Riley!!!!!!!!! It is the parent with care that lives the life of riley. Says when you can see the kid. Takes the money too fund her nightlife!!!!!!!! Whats fair about that you want to think about what you are writing.ABSOLUTE PATHETIC springs to mind on your comments. Why the hell should the nrp be going to work to fund a luxury lifestyle for the parent with care.

The only reason the nrp parent would be doing overtime is to afford to live after the csa have took what they are taking. What you mean the nrp living the life of riley!!!!!!! More like the parent with care all the csa do is fund her nightlife and do not believe the nrp that they have their child. You see the csa only believe the parent with care. All i can say is why are you on this website when obviously you have not been dealt a bad blow with all this CSA HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!
