What should I pay the CSA from my war pension?

September 1, 2012

I need advice. I have a army pension & receive a war pension after being discharged from the army after losing my leg in Iraq. Now I went onto the CSA calculated but everything I earn in then ticked the box saying I get a War Pension. It gave me a figure of £5 a week.

So this is what I have been paying, now I have had a call from the CSA saying I should be paying £37 a week. Can someone tell me if I should be paying £5 a week or have I got it wrong on their calculator? Thank you in advance for any replies.

Do you receive any other income which could have been taken into consideration?

To all those who are on disability allowance and war pensioners . The answer is NO they cannot take any disability payments into account whatsoever and if they are you should seek legal advice.

I went through almost 2 years of hell with these gestapo no faced people. And after going through the appeals service and taking a good solicitor I won my case.

You do get the overpayment back at their usual go slow inept speed, but they are there purely to ruin your life for years to come…. Remember that !

    Good Luck
